I doubt the Dalish care about the Circle at all. It's no concern to them what the Shemlen do with their Mages. The Dalish seem to just worry about themselves. Stressing about what doesn't concern them would make so sense. They'd only care about how the Halla are fairing and if the Hunters are finding enough meals for the Clan.
Edit for more.
Don't even try to imagine what they'd think of her. Once it's known that the Keeper sacrificed herself to keep the First alive and left the clan with neither. That she also left the clan before it all happened. Thinking they'd have sympathy for Merrill when Dalish in general think about the Clan first? They'd more likely hate her than love her.
What does it have to do with the Circle? Look at Velanna. The relationship between humans and elves is strained, and based on the implication of King Alistair's comments about the Hinterlands, the elves who were given their own homeland may have been killed. If that's the case, how are the Dalish going to feel when they learn that the Hinterlands given to the Dalish for helping with the Blight lead to their deaths? Wouldn't some of them be angry? Then they hear that a Dalish mage took on an army of templars in the Chantry's seat of power over eastern Thedas, and I think that it'll leave an impression with a lot of elves.
A Dalish mage standing up to one of the most powerful forces within Andrastian society - the same entity the Dalish reference in the fall of the Dales - might give her reputation among the clans who have been wandering without a home since the fall of their second homeland.
Except that she also abandoned her clan and to some even in the clan was responsible for the Death of their Keeper. While not true to us. I just think if your hope is to find sympathy for mages from the Dalish? You will sadly be dissapointed. They could care less about a war among shemlen. Merrill being among those that fought won't matter for most. Most of her own clan think of her as a blood mage maleficar.
Seeing how "maleficar" is a Chantry (aka human religion) term, I doubt they see her as such. But they don't show any fondness for magic whatsoever; I think if Marethari wasn't so old and kind in person, her clan would hold her magic against her, especially if they got off on the wrong foot. I personally think Merrill's clan saw her as an outsider the moment she joined them (when she was 4); I can't see how they could have ever possibly cared for her, to turn on her so fully when she began using blood magic on the Mirror. If Marethari was using blood magic, I think they'd assume she knew what she was doing, being so much "older and wiser" than everybody, whereas Merrill the outsider was just a troublesome youngster (who, to them, turned much worse over time, apparently).
Can't say I'm fond of her clan, no matter what they think

EDIT to Bleetman: I can't remember his exact wording, but it was something like "Oh, and I'm so sorry about how the Hinterlands turned out", and he might say something like "it was a disaster" or something right after "turned out", but I can't remember.
