ps. says phew almost done with playthrough number 5 of warrior hawke...which means time for another mage Lady Hawke( though she isn't gonna do a Merrill-mance this time...unlike my last Marina). I just read the new game informer...and thank god it's been confirmed that Liara will return to be a squad mate in ME 3( although Ashley n Kaiden are back as well).

A while ago (yay lurking this thread and reading the earlier pages) I noticed the Dev's mentioned Merrill had a more risque outfit. While the location of this is probably older than the pope's left testicle, I never saw a link to said concept art and so I present what I think it said outfit was in a concept art group shot.

Apologies if my suspicions are correct and this is veeeery old news.

I have this image in the DA2 guide book, and I'm so glad they didn't go with this version of Merrill. It's just too... severe. Se looks like they were trying to go with a Morrigan thing with her.

The outfit is fine, but the face and body look just too harsh and angular. It doesn't fit with the Merrill personality we know and love!

It's essentially the same outfit minus the chainmail, yes.

Thing is, that chainmail covers up a fair amount. I personally prefer Merrill as in, rather than another apostate-sideboob-extravoganza.

Ah, i didn't pay attention to the faces since they all seem exaggerated and in a few cases quite a way off.
Incidentally, it's interesting Merrill has basically human female body in that sketch and no one really noticed

Not really, the entire Hawke team is surprisingly spread in origin. Contrary to Cassandra's presumptions only Hawke and Aveline are actually Ferelden.
