This can't be true because before Marethari was keeper Mahariels father was. Merrill was given to Marethari and she had to have gone to the gathering when she was 14 because Mahariel went as well (for she is recognized by Valenna and Varathorn's clan)

This is what we know:

She was given up by her parents when she was 4. This may or may not have been at a gathering. Let's say it was, since that makes sense... you're giving your daughter to another clan who lives far away, so you find a place where everyone is going to be. Merrill's actual line is "I haven't seen my parents in more than ten years." She's been to at least two gatherings, since she is recognized by Valenna + Varathorn's clan and Mahariel at the second one.

So... maybe she isn't 14, but she could be as young as 15 when first recruited. The timelines would match for that.

Not that it's really that big a deal. Isabela was likely 13-15 when she first got married, putting her at around 25-26 or so when first encountered. People (girls especially) in those ages get married real young.

Most likely him or Anders...god knows some of the stuff he says to Merrill is just as bad if not worse considering his situation...

Anders is the rattle on the Fenris-snake. He's trying to warn Merrill but in the end he ends up being just as bad if not worse than Fenris.

That being said MLP Merrill is cute.

So after playing this game through a few times I was saddened when I checked the codex entries for merrill and found that despite romancing her all three times none of the codex entries ever mentioned the fact that she moved in.

Which makes me sad because I feel that considering the epicness of the character bioware should at least make the codex reflect major events like romancing.

maybe moving in entry is regarded by Bioware as such?

No, the team mentioned (though I just had a quick look and couldn't where) that they reworked a more risque concept armour and got a result they were happy with. My guess is her normal armour is said result since it follows this concept art picture as you said, but obviously gives off much less of a Mrrigan/Isabella feeling.
