I think my Merrill-Monday minific is fit for human consumption! (also in a blog)

Practice
sword raised feet apart, balanced eyes, watching, all around where is-
"Merrill!" cried Julia, gently slapping Merrill's rear with her sword. "You're paying so much attention to paying attention that you're not paying attention!"
"Sorry! I'll do better, I promise!"
"Again," Julia said as she raised her blade. Merrill darted in aggressively. She was quick, even for an elf, but clumsy. Julia stepped aside and let Merrill's own momentum throw her into the wall, a tangled mess of limbs shaking with uncontained giggles.
Julia sighed. Poor Merrill's skill with the lute was unmatched by all but her skill with the blade. "Merrill, one day, your magic will fail you. A mage will shut you down, and you'll be left with a big stick in your hands and no idea
which end goes into the enemy. You need to learn how to handle a sword." As the last word left her mouth, Julia stifled a snicker.
"What is it?" inquired Merrill. "Did I miss something dirty?"
Julia stared down at the elven woman. The elf's eyes were so wide, green and beautiful, full of excitement. It was so hard to imagine that she was also the most capable master of the arcane Julia had ever met. She reached out and pulled Merrill to her feet. "Never mind, Merrill, just... try not to die so quickly this time?" she begged as she returned to her place across the manor's ballroom.
"I'll try," she promised. "But you know I'll never kill you."
"Ma vhenan," whispered Julia, echoing the epithet Merrill had given to her love. "You could stop my heart with a glance." She lunged forward, swatting aside a very surprised Merrill's sword with her own, and pinned the smaller woman to the wall with her other arm. Merrill let out a yelp and tried to escape, but Julia dropped her sword and grabbed Merrill's arm. "Practice is over, Merrill." Her breath was deep and husky; hot, wet air filled the emptiness between the two women. Wasting not another second, Julia grabbed Merrill's face and pulled her into a kiss.
Still in shock, Merrill was slow to respond, but as Julia's hunger consumed her, Merrill began to reciprocate. She reached up and tore Julia's hair from its military bun and ran her hands through the thick curls. Their lips and tongues mashed in an arrhythmic tango. Julia let her hands fall from Merrill's cheeks and wander down her chest, dancing across her hips, before stroking the inside of her thigh. She tore the woman's tunic down over shoulders and continued her assault southward, taking in the elf's summer scent as she kissed Merrill's neck, her shoulders, her breasts, her stomach. A ragged moan brought Julia back up to face her lover.

Just as confirmation, is it true that you cannot romance Merrill once you sleep with Isabela?

That's not true at all. You can't romance *Isabela* once you sleep with Merrill. Not the other way around.

I should pace myself when catching up next time. I can't combine my steamy fanfic and adorable my-little-pony art reflexes within the same short space of time. It's just not natural

Off-topic, but I figured the brilliant people here might know: Is it only possible to have your family members match your skin tone if you chose a particular pre-set with the skin tone you're looking for? I've modified the first avaliable pre-set that you have the ability to change, but the family members never really match the color unless I chose black, and I was going more of a tanned look.
