If that's a fist, then she's punching herself in the neck with it.

As this is the Merrill thread, self-harm is okay though. She can punch while Merrill cuts.

Not only a properly supported Desire Spirit but also a Sage.

I'm stealing this from the other thread.

What would Merill give Hawke or the other party members as a gift? What would they give her?

Warrior Hawke would build her a bookcase while Bethany would make her a blanket.

That is a dirty stereotype! Just because she's a warrior doesn't mean she has to be good with tools!

Mage Hawke would get her some books.

My warrior Hawke trained as a carpenter prior to joining the army. She like building things. I'd like to think much of Merrill's furniture was made by Hawke.

Isn't mage Hawke getting her books also stereotypical?

Rogue Hawke would get her many jewels and trinkets, you know things you can easily fit in your pocket when no one is looking. Stereotypical diamonds are still diamonds :P

My Warrior Hawke would probably give Merrill more practical gifts... help her patch the holes in the roof, maybe some rat traps, flowers or planters to help grow things.

My Mage Hawke would bring her books of stories. Children's books, and maybe some mythology texts, that sort.

I imagine Varric's gifts are the silent kind... bribing guards to leave her alone. He might bring her flowers, and likely gave housewarming gifts to start with.
Isabela would bring booze over and tell stories.

I would give her a Copper relief of marigolds.....with MARIGOLDS helpfully spelled out on it.

Elaborate dramatic displays of love and affection the likes of which Lowtown has never seen. Well that and her own murder knife, you see the blade Merrill uses to cut her wrist, no beauty to that weapon.

A map of the city, with a separately coloured arrows marking the path between her hovel and places of interest. The sorts of things others have mentioned: potted plants, story books, things to fix up the hovel. A proper mattress would probably help.

Also, durable gloves. My Hawke is nowhere near as cunning as she thinks she is.

My mage I suppose would stereotypically give her books cause that's what mages do. Perhaps some things of Dalish origin as well to make her feel more at home.

No one's suggested shoes yet?

For shame, Merrill thread!

Although she does complain about everything being too cold and stony while longing for shoes with soles... still, I like my shoe-less Merrill.

Those are great for running. It's aces compared to running barefoot, you ever step on a rock during a run?

No fun.

Merrill don't need any footwear though, she's solid.

As my feet are so caloused from running barefoot, I can run on gravel without much pain (and I only go barefoot around the house or running), I would imagine Merrill's feet would be damn near bulletproof. The cold still sucks, though, when running; I liked that that's what she complained about most.

Also, anybody posted that banter in the Anders thread yet? I will if it hasn't been Posted Image

Elves have pads at the bottom of the feet. The same as dogs.

They do not. Though now I'm tempted to put some on the elf textures just for kicks :P

They are like cats and dogs in many ways. Did you know Merrill sometimes kicks her foot when you rub her belly? I wouldn't lie to you!

Wait, she does? *runs off to try it*

Also, when I first read that, I read it as "rubs her foot when you lick her belly."

Merrill wakes Hawke up at the crack of dawn and pokes her to get up and make breakfast?

People are going to believe this.

Should be fun.
