I like to think that she did, though.

*continuing my Merrill blood mage thing*
I always felt that Merrill represented the 'good' blood mage within the DA2 narrative (vs. all the other crazies). She turned to blood magic for practical reasons that involved fixing the eluvian and not b/c she just desired more power.
I think she handled blood magic well in those 7 years in Kirkwall considering:
1) She never unleashed demons on the Alienage.
2) She never turned the inhabitants of the Alienage into her own personal sex slave army.
3) No blood sacrifices of elven children.
4) She never wrote in blood on the Vhenadahl tree, "Merrill was here. MerrillHawke forever."

I think it's pretty fitting that Dalish Pariah doesn't include any Graverobber/Blood Slave/Sacrifice type spells, really.

1) The Alienage already met its yearly Demon quota what with Huon and alll.
2) You don't need blood magic to do that, you just have to be a noble's spoiled sh*t kid.
3) See No. 2
4) We can't prove she didn't. Although witnesses say the suspect was spotted skipping away from the scene.

She only uses blood magic to power 'normal' spells and paralyze people...she's a good one XD

Well, paralysis as a result of rending them from the inside out. That one's a little more shady

If you have maxed her friendship meter before finishing her quest "Mirror Image," you should be fine. Otherwise, all those friendship points will turn into rivalry points if you withheld the arulin'holm from her.DrunkDeadman wrote...
Actually, does anyone know if it's possible to withold the arulin'holm and still earn full friendship with Merrill?
I enjoy both paths for what they are(I prefer friendship.) However, one thing I really don't about the friendship romance is that it's almost beat-for-beat the Tali romance in ME2(and I love that one.)So yeah. What are your opinons on Merrill's friendship/rivalry? Help a man out.

Never really supported Blood Magic, since I consider it harm magic. Someone has to bleed or be sacrificed in order for it to be used.
But I never wanted to force Merrill from using it. Not even when I wanted the mirror gone. I might not like Blood Magic, or the risks that come with it, but I trust Merrill to not use it for anything evil.

That's the Friendship romance really. It's trusting Merrill not to f**k up w/ Blood magic. At least, that's how I saw it.
