Unfortunately all females in every recent bioware game suffer from giraffe neck to some extent, ME, ME2 and DA:o to a lesser extent all have it. They make the base models to fit no matter how bulky the armor is you lay over it, but when not wearing bulky armor the neck always seems very long. The male models have it as well, but since they are wider it is far less noticable.

@slimgrin: I cringe when people say the most recent videos are of an old build: people don't show old builds when they are trying to get attention for the finished work. I do agree that Merrill may have changed since the video was made, though.

You know, this is the best, and the worst part of the Bioware forums.  While moderators sometimes go on crazy banning sprees, this place is squeky clean compared to most gaming forums.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to more info on Merril, though I don't really see her as my love interest, the tattoos just put me off a bit.

Ok so I've only read through like 10 pages of this thread but from what I'm seeing everyone's assuming she's M/F only and not F/F at all. Was this said somewhere that I missed? That's she's M/F only? I mean where is the proof everyone seems to have that makes them so certain she's not F/F as well?

It seems Isabela and Merril will be 'catfighting' in DA.

I assume Isabela is as much a master duelist with her tongue as a dagger. It will be interesting to see Merrill keep up with her.

Well I highly doubt bioware would screw the fans like that. Besides I don't remember where but I believe in the Isabela thread they said this. They being the devs. This being that she was the Zevran like romance character and that there was another F/F.

I love how everyone was going on about wanting a non-human female elf companion who hopefully is also the antithesis of Isabela and perhaps an LI. Along comes Merrill, and then comments like :

"Her chest is too big!"
"Her eyes are buggy!"
"I can't date a little girl LI! That's just creeptastic!"

rolls in with the carpet.

OMG, what do the devs have to design to make everyone happy with a female LI?! I bet if Bethany WASN'T Hawke's sister and was totally available for LI status, people would STILL complain about how her hair is too curly.
