It was some kind armor. I was kind of far back, but it looked kinda gold colored, and it looked like a set of light plate armor. Almost like a heavier and more defensive romance armor.

I was under the impression they weren't going to implement that until DA3 and was just using Merrill as a sexy model to show it off, so to speak.  It would be great if they did in upcoming DLC/expansion for DA2, however.

It's their plan "going forward."

DAIII, definitely, but it's also certainly something they could, conceivably, implement in an expansion (it wouldn't happen in a DLC).

He's serious. It really happened. The actual armor pieces have no visual effect, though, they're still permanently in their "iconic" outfits.

I don understand, why would they demonstrate Merrill in different armour and customisation? Are they using released games as example of what you can do In Me3 without showing spoilers? Or is this something in the future for dragon age?

Who needs armour when you're a blood mage and have Arcane Shield/Barrier?
