Also to all those who thik Merrill is too young..
In DAo she is at least the same age as the warden during the Origin, young but not too young. If your Warden can romance then she can be romanced..
Also this game takes place over 10 years so even if she is "too young" during the first meeting doesn't mean she won get older like errbody else. so in human years unless she is 8 when you meet her, she will be "old enough" at some point

The problem isn't her actual age. The problem is that she went from this to looking like a human child dressed up as an elf with massive hooters. The whole "but in reality she's way older" doesn't change the fact that she will be perceived as a child by many. Legal jailbait indeed.Tiax Rules All wrote...

Peace out, yo. Merril asks that all her *****s behave themselves and try to keep the mother****ing tentacle rape and personal insults off the mother****ing thread so it's not locked while Maria is away.

I have said it before and will say it again.. Bethany is hot.. I could care less if in the game she is the sister of my roleplayed imaginry character. I can still look at the pixel as judge her looks without "OMG you are wierd, she is your sister" she is not MY sister.. she is Hawkes..
It's fine if you think Bethany is hot--but to want to romance her is creepy. Hawke is your PC. Hawke is her brother. No. That's disgusting.
You know. Since skin color and certain other elements can alter your siblings appearance, depending on how you change your PC's appearance, I wonder if by making a wildly unattractive Hawke, one can truly make a similar wildly unattractive family.
I sure do hope so. That would bring character creation to the upteeenth LEVEL!!
Now. Back to Merrill being adorable.

OMG, what do the devs have to design to make everyone happy with a female LI?!.
I believe the proper answer is "Cassandra."

And uh... Merrill... is sort of down on her luck if she's out of a keeper's job. Or maybe she's just on loan to Hawke.

Nah, Brock likes the Morrigan-type. And Cassandra fits.

I'm a sucker for nice accents and at least in the most recent trailer, she sort of looked like Morrigan, with the makeup, dark hair and all.
And the glare, who can forget the glare:wub::

As for Merrill being on loan- well, you figure Hawke has to deliver the amulet from Flemeth to Marethari. I believe in that scene Flemmy says something like for Hawke to do as Marethari asks with the amulet and Hawke's debt to Flemeth will be paid. So I'd imagine thats where Merrill will come into play- and her joining Hawke is probably all part of Flemmy's master plan:ph34r:

I like to think my Dalish mage had the sense not to go hang out with Tamlen in weird caves and, due to her natural awesomeness as someone who in some alternate universe was The Warden, told Merrill to get the hell out because she is now the Keeper's First. Therefore, Merrill was forced to go wandering with a strange human who shares a voice with that disgusting Bann Vaughan Kendells.

Judging by the pic above, she fell in with a bad crowd, and Marethari had to send her off with the shems to get her away from their influence. Sort of "Fresh Keeper of the Free Marches."
The more I see her non-gangsta pics, the less jarringly different from her DAO version she is, and if her character and dialogue is half as good as I think it will be, then I'm sold. I really hope she gets some colour to her though. The grey pallor is creepy.

LOL... I knew it and yes, I'm totally getting the Morrigan vibe from her...with the exception that Cassandra is a chantry-seeker and Morrigan is an apostate mage but personality, yeah... i would say they are the same.
Most likely, though god knows, what that amulet actually is for or does...judging from what Flemmith was planning on doing with Morrigan in Origins. The thing is... unless Merrill is drawn to Hawke, i don't see her all hunky dory about leaving with him straight off the bat. Her personality in Origins what little of it there was...was a little standoffish/side character type in that she would just wonder around with you and make random comments here or there...but I never got the sense she like your Warden wanted to actually leave the clan( Actually your Warden didn't wanna leave either judging from your choices in dialog, he just had to leave because he got infected by the curse of the mirror and they onyl way to cure it...that is known...was for him/her to become a Grey Warden).

Screw it, I'm doing the whole song.
Chillin out, maxin, ralaxin, all cool,
and all shootin sum Halla outside of the training,
when a couple of shems, who were u to no good,
started making trouble in my Clan's hood.
I got in one little fight and my Keeper got scared and said
"You're moving with this guy named Hawke to Kirkwall"
I whistled for the dude and when he came near,
He had a beard on his face and was Nutella smeared.
If anything, I could say that this shem was rare,
but I thought, could be worse, "Yo holmes, to Kirkwall!"
I pulled up to the city, rebellion a stirring,
and I yelled to Hawke, "Go home, I'll see you later!"
Looked around the place, I was finally there,
to take up my staff, now I'm the Keeper of Kirkwall
