Never have been. I'm a firm believer of playing the game you want to play. I don't believe I have ever said that everyone has to play "my way," but I have been called mean-spirited and an imbecile for stating the reasons why I have taken the rivalry path.

That could be said about any decision, such as Mages/Templars or sparing/killing Anders. However, it doesn't mean that they can't or shouldn't be debated. I just find it exhausting having to go over the same arguments about Merrill's morality and Hawke's morality and the morality of Merrill's work -- when the morality's totally up to the PC to decide and RP, so it makes it all rather moot really.

And if you slapped Merrill, I'm pretty sure Hawke would temporarily convert to Blood Magism/Reaverism and totally do some crazy scary vengeful sh!t with your vein juice.
