I think Merrill is probably the greatest threat
to the Chantry there is... I'd imagine the Divine would be all "blood
mages are evil and despicable" and then in the next breath have her
teeth fastened around Merrill's head.

Isn't that already the general feeling towards blood mages?

No. Are you saying there's _any_ mage nearly as headnomworthy other than Merrill?

I'd say Morrigan's about on par with her.

She's another mage party member in DA. If you haven't played the first game, I suppose you wouldn't know about her.

Oh, I wouldn't dream of it. What's the deal w/ trying to headnom Merrill? Affection gone out of control?

Reference to pre-DA II post by writer.

Yes! This! You guys have no idea how cute Merrill is. I work here and and I still squee when she says things I haven't heard.

There's a lot of this in the writer pit:

Merrill (in-game): (something unbelievably cute)
Sheryl: GIGGLESQUEE!!!!! SO CUTE!!!
Mary: Hee hee.
Sheryl: She's so adorable I love her and want to hug her omgIcan'tbelievehowadorablesheisCAN-I-NOM-HER-HEAD?!
Mary: ... No.

Morrigan is DEFINITELY not a "headnom" girl and I think she would kill anyone who squeed in her presence.

No, Morrigan is NOT a "headnom" girl, but she's not without her charm...

Oh, indeed. I'm sure she is quite the charmer. That is one charming outfit she has on there. Are those raven feathers on her spaulder; the ones you find as random loot on enemies?

Could be. Although thankfully, in DA:O you don't find junk, worthless loot like raven feathers and torn trousers in every chest you loot. There is blank vellum sometimes though, which is almost as annoying.

Actually, there was quite a lot of "junk" in DA:O, but they were given little pictures and labels that at least tried to give the illusion of value. Finding a chalice or a mirror with a little picture and description definitely looks a lot better than a line of text that says "torn trousers." Especially when you need "complex" lock picking skill to open the chest they're locked in.

@ Ravensword -- The funniest thing about Morrigan is that the underwear she wears during her sex scene is less risque than the outfit she wears into battle.

Yeah, why are there torn trousers inside a fancy-looking treasure chest? Who the hell would do that? It must be like a decoy, while all the real goods are stored somewhere in a dragon's carcass.

Reverse risque?

Torn Trousers are worth alot. With one of those you can... Make a repaired set of trousers! And you can like... Totally sell them...

The demand for torn trousers is huge..

Yea I prefer DAO's method of junk. The only thing I think DAII did right was the auto-sorting into a junk area. But even in DAO the least valuable piece of loot was more valuable than DAII's least valuable piece of loot.

Maker knows I wouldn't give anyone a single silver for torn trousers, thank you very much.

Pre-ripped fashion trousers are all the rage at some high schools. Well maybe a few years ago anyway.

If mages wear them instead of robes they look like ordinary people.

Ah-ha! DA2 set the stage for a fashion revolution that changes the entire war...

If mages aren't wearing robes, what will the templars do? :bandit:

Hmmm. An arcane warrior wearing Templar armor. Arcane warrior is an Elven tradition I believe? Maybe Merrill could do that (to bring this thread back on topic).

I did give Merrill a 2H sword during Legacy once...for the damn magic immune Golem part (if you side with Janeka).

I also have a mod that removes restrictions on using weapons.

So...I support the arcane warrior Merrill thing because she looks awesome wielding a 2H sword.

She seems to lack the build to be seen wielding such a cumbersome weapon.

Raves, most DA2 staffs look to weigh about 50+ pounds themselves. Then you have Pencilris swinging around his 150 pound I-beam, and, well... Physics kind of ragequits.

I'm sure elves are a hell of lot sturdier than they look. I can tell you from personal experience that a frail looking chimpanzee can easily toss a 200 lbs. man across a room.
