Merrill and Varric are my two favorite DA2 companions. I've recently started to learn how to make face morphs. I have two Different Merrill models. Hope you guy like them.

The first one looks close to Athenril. I like that.

I'm not a fan of anyone changing Merrill's facial appearance -- it makes me cat hiss =P -- but these are definitely good morphs for stand alone Elves.

Well i was going for plain, to capture her earlier innocence. Your right about the eyebrows. My CC mods wouldn't let me put them on elves. I'm fairly new at this, i just learned about CharGenMorph compilers today. I used it and now i can give them eyebrows. I must of had a conflict.

 I only changed Merrill face in the first place because i didn't like her default tattoos. That and i wanted to try different hairstyles and hair colors. Here is a new one, not as plain:

Try not overdooing the makeup, make it a little more neutral.
Personally i don't like that hairstyle, try using the one with the ponytail and the two strands.
Also i think her chin is too long and pointy.

The makeup came with the tattoo, on the complexion slider. I can't change it without changing the tattoo. So i'll change the tat. I didn't want that lip color anyway. I can't do anything about the blush through, that comes with the skintone, i think.

That was a hard hairstyle to find. I didn't think i had it in the CC for elves.

I had left the elf preset chin alone, except thinning the width. I guess thats why it was a little pointy. How about this morph. I darkened her hair a little. Light brown was for my last playthrough, with the small green tattoo.

I fixed the blush problem and worked on her chin a little more.

It's better. Personally I'm not really into tatoos, at least not those that are too clearly visible, but don't change that for my sake.
The brows are a little too furry, aren't there one wher eit's thinner, more concentrated?
I like the makeup now, try working a little around with the eyeshapes.

I'm not crazy with the tattoos either. But she's Dalish. I hated her original tats, they covered her whole face. That's why i started making face morphs for her in the first place. My favorites are the green on in my first pic and this next one.

Can't change the eye shape without changing the preset to human. The best i can do is make her eyes a little bigger, and bring them in some. Ignore the body, it's human.

It's been a while but I think so, yes. I think that's where you can ask her to explain Mythal. Why do you ask? Did you not get it for some reason?

I hear you. The Merrill preset in CC is pretty far off. So i went back to the drawing board. This is as close as i can get her face. None of the lip options were right, so i picked my own.



Using the same face as a base, i made 4 morphs. Just hairstyle, eye color, and tattoo changes:

It's a great piece (imo, though I might be biased^^) featuring my main Hawke and Merrill, drawn/made by the amazing K-Laine. :-)

In Act 3, if you click on the altar where you resurrected Flemeth while Merrill is present, you get this conversation.

Mythal and Flemeth both sound like they have a lot in common …

That's probably only something to wonder if you actually pick the investigate option(s). If you don't pick it/them, you could headcanon that Hawke is very much in-the-know on the Dalish Pantheon.

Also, Hawke can give her the Sylvanwood ring and ask her about the Dalish gods.
