I always admired Merril in Origins. He tried until he succeeded! That is one thing i love in a man. Not taking no for an answer, loyal, caring, strong, and kick a** with a bow. And, being handsome is a plus

I kinda get a Sigrun vibe from her. Tiny, just a rememberance, teeny tiny, teeny, like a scent on a soft breeze. Not saying Merrill=Sigrun, 'cuz 1) That's be ridiculous, 2) We know next to nothing about her, 3) The act of equating companions across games like that is ridiculous in itself, something Mary noted in a thread the other day.



It's just based on the word Cute. I thought Sigrun was cute, though she was my last companion recruited in DA:A, so I didn't spend much time getting to know her. She's cute. She's plump, has a cute voice, snarky, kills brutally, curious- wait, what was that other one? Kills brutally. If Sigrun and Merrill have only two things in common, then I'm going to suggest they are that they are both 1) Cute, and 2) Kill Brutally. (Not that Merrill is even a confirmed full-on companion, we just assume as much, though we do so for a reason) Anyway, the Cute Brutal Killer is a pretty unique thing, and I think of the "Combination of Sex and Violence" trope with the Cute Killer thing. Zevran is a variant. Regardless, I'm sure from Bioware and Merrill we can expect Hardcore Killing and Hardcore Cuteness, in succession, and I'm totally up for it.
