I can't see Merrill at all in that screenshot. However, I have another reason to rejoice: walking skeletons are back!
I always like fighting those guys.
(Laughs) What, you enjoy punishment or something? Those guys where the bane of my exsistence. No matter how I set up tactics they *always* seemed to go right for me and start raining blows before my tanks could intercept. Hated 'em with a passion...

Exactly! Some of my toughest fights were against walking skeletons.

That sounds very appealing. I wonder if they'd do the same with Bethany and someone? Fenris and city elves, maybe?
If I were given just half a chance, I'd hook up everyone in the free marches to each other and be the universal Godmother. That would be how i'd become champion of Kirkwall. That and dancing. Not by exploding some Qunari guy.
They did mention in that story diary that you get a sense of family. I think it is very big sisterly like to torment your sis or bro about dating.
I have no siblings. I am interested in Mama Hawke's evaluation of the various love interests for PC and their siblings.
she might be disappointed in you if she wanted grandchildren
or Grandma hawke could be a little "old fashioned" and think that Carver should not have a child with an elf....GASPS:blink:

Most likely you either just encountered her, or she ran to find you.

My point was that it's not "more correct" that a Dalish keeper would not be a blood mage, assuming the poster means by that that it's supposedly against lore for her to be one.Talon_Wu wrote...

Zathrian used a powerful blood magic. The Dalish keepers obviously have blood magic capability, even if some don't learn it or choose to use it.Thicos wrote...
I prefer Merrill like a Keeper and not like a Blood Mage. It is more correct.
Yes, so did Avernus. He managed to get his Warden-Commander possessed, and used his fellow Wardens for hideous experiments. Zathrian got half his clan killed.
Good times. Blood magic is fun for the whole family!<_<
Because one or even a lot of blood mages are evil, doesn't mean blood magic in itself is evil or the people using it for good purposes are. Just because the Chantry says it, doesn't make it so.

So, apparently Merrill managed to summon a spirit, and from the context of Hawke's jocular paraphrase, it didn't stay friendly for long. Thoughts on this?
My understanding is that she summoned a demon, it helped, and Hawke can caution her about it.

Indeed. Just pointing out that this isn't proof she is a joinable companion. I'm not sure if that is in doubt or not.Saibh wrote...

She is so a joinable companion. I don't have the tiniest doubt in my mind.

Merrill: You call it 'demon,' I call it 'spirit of face-ripping.' Toh-MAY-toe, toh-MAH-toe.

Just as you Maria... refer Desire Demons as 'Desire Spirits'?
I believe that Merrill is definetely a companion NPC.

Wait, Wait...there are *still* people who don't think Merril is a Companion?!
