WarHippo, how long ago did you notice the problem?



When the DLC disappears it is critical to identify it as soon as possible. If you notice right when it happens all you need to do is exit the game, restart, verify that your DLC is authorized, and the content should be back if you load a save where you knew it existed before. You have to exit the game completely, otherwise when you try and load old saves the DLC will appear to be missing from them as well.



If however you don't notice right away and continue playing and saving the error is preserved in any saves you make after the glitch occurs. If you don't have a recent save where your DLC content was working, then there are some things you can do with the Developer's console to try and get your content fixed.

Sadly I did not notice for some time when I discovered Sten was naked back at the camp as the DLC armour had disappeared :-(

I have the same problem with Soldier's Peak. I noticed at one point all the items were missing and the location was gone from the map and at camp I was notified I completed Soldier's Peak even though I'd done this long ago. I reloaded previous saves and the items were there and I thought I was ok, but as I progressed they just kept disappearing. This in indeed extremely frustrating and I can't believe Bioware hasn't even had the decency to respond to threads like these (there are a few of them)

This DLC system is starting to really get on my nerves! It worked perfectly until I had to reinstall the game after my old Windows 7 trial version expired. Now I have to manually start the DA content updater service every time I want to play the game. I also had a LOT of trouble getting all the DLC's to install in the first place.



I understand that Bioware doesn't like pirating, but as it is now we legitimate customers are paying the price. It's just not working as it is. Today when Morrigan lost her staff I have had enough. All the loot from the DLC's are worthless for me. In fact I'm now looking for gear outside of DLC's so I don't end up with a mage going into hand to hand fights like Morrigan.



I certainly hope Bioware takes this under consideration because this frankly does not give an otherwise brilliant company much credit.

Add me to the irritated list - everything has been ok DLC wise up until just now. This morning loaded up the game, played for a few hours, no DLC item issues. A minute ago I loaded the game and went to play... and wondered why my Human Noble was punching the bloody Darkspawn O.o. I checked his character sheet and Starfang was gone... worried I checked on Oghren who was wearing the entire Blood Dragon Armor set. Guess what? Oghren was naked as a jaybird with just a sword and a smile. Quickly quit out and reloaded an earlier save... same problem.



As a note: Absolutely NOTHING has changed on my system between play periods today.

Same here. All the ridiculously expensive rune-filled weapons like Starfang (wielded by Alistair) and the monster maul that allows user a huge stamina bonus (Oghren in my game), are simply gone (on all saves). All this, after havving already got over being very angry at the inability to buy downloadable points to purchase add-ons, that continued for weeks and weeks (that particular bug is fixed now, and yes I had plenty of money in my account then, and valid cards). All of this problem stems from having to connect to Dragon Age before playing. Why cannot people make a stand alone game, instead of this 'steam' type rubbish. Days and days and days of play....completely wasted. Note to Bioware. If you want to make a good RPG look at what worked in 'Baldur's Gate' rather than what didn't work in 'Neverwinter Nights'. Level-based enemies/weapons/treasure...bah.

I actually had this happen with Vigilance in Awakenings on my Orlesian playthrough. This makes me think it's not DLC specific.

Sorry to Necro an old thread but I've hit a disappearing equipment bug a couple of times since starting The Battle of Denerim. Basically every so often after a fight I find that 2/3 of my equipment simply vanishes (91/120 down to 25/120). If I reload the previous save, fight again the equipment is still there.

Its not just weapons / armor though and so far has been unequipped equipment. I think it first hit in the Palace Grounds and then Fort Drakon Main Floor

Do you have any mods installed?  As this seems to be a separate issue from the thread in which you have posted, a complete problem report as outlined in the "Read First" post pinned to the top of this forum would help.
