The only thing I don't like is being forced to hike back to sell inventory and buy bullets.

How does the game make you sick OnlyShallow? Is the first person perspective or the gore? My Lillith has been known to pump the bad guy full of lead and set them on fire.

Definitely one of my favourite games of the year

Well, I'm quite a proficient gamer and I've played many types of game, from DA:O's LOLGOREFOUNTAINS to good ol' Unreal Tournament...rma2110 wrote...

And Borderlands is the only game to *physically* make me ill. As in I can't play it because the game itself, even just running around, screws with my head and makes me want to throw up.
And I'm not the only person who's been victim to it.

The main story line was pretty lame, but a lot of fun. The characters you meet on Pandora are hilarious and totally nuts. I hear that the DLC have much better story lines. I also adore CL4P-TP, Best video game mascot ever. Even cuter than sack boy.

A few friends of my played it so I decided to pick it up and I love the game
The story is really not something special but I must agree that it is a lot of fun and I absolutely love my Bloodwing:P
The DLC are hilarious, if u havent played them yet I wont spoil except for: Be aware of the Claptrap:happy:
I mostly play it co-op now, trying to blow eachother to pieces, playing the Underdome and trying to kill Crawmerax

The number of guns in the game is insane and yet they were able to make a lot of them work very uniquely to add to the experience.
Plus you just got to love the Claptraps.

it's a pretty cool game but still nothing in post-apocalyptic style can beat Fallout series. Well, atleast borderlands had vehicles that you can drive

I love Tannis. That voice actress is AMAZING! BioWare should have hired her yesterday.

Agreed. I wished the story had been better thought-out, then it would have been a stellar game. But I can't deny that I had a freaking blast playing this co-op with friends. "This is where the cars live!" Oh god...Dust_King wrote...
Story was bad but loved everything else, the characters were good and the game had buckets of style. co-op was great.

Is it a motion-sickness thing? That I could understand. But is it just Borderlands, or is it an issue you have with first-person shooters in general?

As I said above (At least, I'm sure I did), it's only Borderlands that's done it.FreezaSama wrote...

Wasn't a fan of the little I played, and I wasn't impressed with the constant texture-popping and the cel-shaded-y graphics, so it's just been chucked in a drawer somewhere and forgotten about.

I'll make sure to avoid it. I'm quite good at getting really ill when playing computer games, sometimes so bad that I need to lie down all of the following day as well. And they're the ones that most people find fairly innocuous.OnlyShallow89 wrote...

If your experience here is anything to go by, this one sounds like I might never recover.

For those fearing getting queasy playing it, if you have the PC version I would suggest turning off Depth of Field effects. It helped for me. Maybe that will be helpful to others.

That's strange. Maybe it's the art style that has a hand in it?

I played through the main game and all of the expansions. I think once I hit level 50, the game just got monotonous. Though I did have a blast with the General Knoxx DLC. By the time the last DLC came out though, I was just going through the motions.

Possibly. Silverfall screwed with my eyes, and Champions Online was kinda hard to look at (It was as if something was irrtating me, but I couldn't work out what) until I nullified most of the comic book effects (Such as the outlines). I had no problems with Wind Waker, though, back in the dayFreezaSama wrote...

Damn, I was doing 'quests' outside the first settlement, including going into the cave and driving the vehicle over that big gap/ramp/thing, and it felt a bit grindy.FreezaSama wrote...

That may well be it. Maybe it's just a more selective version of the problem some people have where any FPS in general will make them ill.

Well, yeah. I'm not too surprised. I mean, it's essentially an FPS with some RPG elements thrown in. Which I thought were done very well, but at its heart, it's still an FPS. Which isn't a bad thing, but I guess some people can't play the same one for 50+ hours. I mean, hey, there are people who still play Dynasty Warriors games, and those haven't really changed since the beginning of the franchise. Though I am a sucker for the Dynasty Warriors Gundam games. LOVE them.
