As the topic title says, I didn't get the +17 Renegade points when I allowed Jack to kill Aresh. Before the said dialogue, I had 60% Renegade (3 bars full) and about 35% Paragon. Tried to reload, do it again, same thing happens (or doesn't happen...).

Later once I got back on the Normandy, I went to talk with Jack, picked up all Renegade options with her to get +6 which then correctly displays on the Squad menu.

So, I wouldn't normally make a big thing out of this, but +17 is a big bonus.
(and I'll need it for the cat fight so it's real important).

One more thing, once Jack kills Aresh and I get the +17 notification, I go check the Squad menu, see that it wasn't applied, but once I go back in the game my Shepard has full red eyes(while before only having like 3 red dots on each eyeball).

Odd issue I know, but if someone knows a solution, you're a godsend!


Some tech details

Mass Effect 2 is updated to 1.02. Full system specs here (bottom of the page).
Bought retail DVD.
Graphics driver - 10.12
Audio driver - 6.0.1.6194
Haven't OC'd anything.
Haven't modified the game.

A quick and dirty solution would be to use Gibbed's save game editor to give yourself those missing points.

I dont know if its an actual bug in the script for that part of the mission, or just a local end glitch. I Havent done the number crunching to that extent on any of my playthroughs.

Yeah, I tried to restart the mission, turns out I didn't get any points what-so-ever during the entire mission so I just added the 26 Renegade points () via the Gibbed's save game editor.
