I wouldn't be surprised if we'll never find out. I doubt it's Arcturus, unless the planet here ain't Earth. Or it's a mobile station. Those lights at the left of it may be engines.

I remember discussing this with a few people in the femshep thread when people were posting their endgame screenshots. I think we came to the conclussion it was Arcturus as it was the only thing that fitted up to that point.

Arcturus is said to orbit a planet named Themis, which is a gas giant. Obviously, the planet in that picture isn't a gas giant. I think it's the same station that appears at the beginning of ME2 when you leave the Lazarus station on the shuttle with Jacob and Miranda.

You mean Cerberus HQ? I don't see the resemblance.

I think thats because its purely speculation and could be interpretted as anything really. Arcturus was the best guess as any because it had been mentioned a few times in the game.

I dont think its an Alliance Dreadnought because the cruisers used in the attack on the Citadel were apparently the Dreadnought model. Someone just got mixed up somewhere. The Dreadnoughts now having to be redesigned. I guess It could potentially be a Carrier?

Yup, that's what I mean. There isn't much resemblance, but it's close enough. In any event, I doubt it's Arcturus for the reason I mentioned above.

Could be a redesigned Minuteman? Orbit and planet make it a resonable assumption

Like I said though open to speculation how about this one

Follow the red line as a cut off. On the left you now have an Alliance Carrier and on the right you now have it docked with a space station. The arrow points to a casting shadow from the ship onto the station.

Ahhhh lots of possibilities. But how about this one. Someone created a cool piece of blue style concept art which they put into the end screen. After all Renegades got got the red nothing planet. Sometimes over analysing is easy to do!

My feeling is that it's either a space station, a cruiser docking with a space station (as Captain Crash proposed), or an Alliance dreadnought/carrier. We haven't actually seen one to date, so we really have no clue as to what one might look like. My money's on the carrier though; just a hunch from seeing those smaller craft (fighters?) in the rest of the picture.

It's probably just a big station orbiting Earth. Earth's codex says something about a lot of debris from bootstrap starship building, and there looks to be a bit of debris in that planet's atmosphere. Most likely it's just some defense station built around Earth, they're bound to be a few.

That's an interesting piece of trivia about the endgame cutscene battle. I knew it was flawed because apparently the animators weren't talking to the writers or something, but I didn't know that the 'cruisers' were originally supposed to be dreadnoughts.

I like the idea that it's a carrier docked to a (hilariously) smaller space station. Or perhaps a better speculation would be a smaller tender ship, rather than space station. I would expect space stations in the MEverse to be larger than that picture would suggest, especially if it was a large capship docking with a smaller spaceship.

Definately think it is a station. The wiki reckons Arcturus is in the form of a Stanford Torus type station, so basically a huge ring that rotates with a static centre. The wiki picture of Cartagena station is more interesting as it shows the same torus shape but with the two towers featured in the picture above. Reckon maybe a ship is docked to the station hence the engine glow.
