when i try to patch the nwn 2 storm of zehir then i get time out did also find all the patch for this game but it is RTS fil how do i patch the game then when i am not sure how to use the RTS fil?

its like the update before you play the game does not work becase i get time out a lot

Okay, do this for me, please: Explain without the shorthand. It's also RTP files. Here's what is necessary for us to help you:
1) Is this a Boxed retail version or a digital download from Digital River or Steam?
2) Do you have the NWN2 Original Campaign game installed?
3) Are you attempting to manually install the patches? Is there a reason you cannot perform the Update function in the game launcher (that's the part that when you start the game file, it opens up and shows you: Play; Toolset; DM Client; Readme; Update; Exit as options) ?
4) This time out you are getting, is this an internet connection time out?

I have some ideas already, however I'd like to be sure I'm giving you the best advice I can. [edit] Also, I just realized, I sticked this thead and made it an announcement just yesterday.  Please see the top of the page and look for the Patching Thread.  I think it may answer all your questions and would contain, basically, anything I would tell you about either auto-patching or manually patching.[/edit]

You only get the launcher on XP on Vista/Win 7 it starts the game per default

That means it's not actually launching the game properly. That's going to be a problem, but I haven't heard of this before. I think maybe someone's got to post a proper installation or launcher file change so this can be corrected. Without the launcher how do you open the Toolset, or access the DM Client, or play a Multiplayer Game? If this was "normal," I'm sure we'd have dealt with that as a fact of Vista/Win7 well before today.

I have Windows 7 and I still get the launcher. I've had it on a Vista PC, too.

Still get Launcher on 7... there are seperate direct icons for everything else though - probably what those who aren't getting the Launcher are using.

i have the NWN 2 Gold Edition dvd case and i have the NWN 2 storm of zehir dvd case and i am using Vista 64 I have install the NWN 2 and Mask of the Betrayer also the NWN 2 storm of zehir



Have update those game but the last one will not be update



Now i am runing the update for the last expansion game i have on dvd case this is what i get

looks related to the infamous VO_X1.zip ( 333,678 kb ) buggie

I recently installed NWN2 Gold + SoZ D2D


when SoZ installs, it deletes VO_X1.zip unnecessarily (not right). Your downloader seems to be searching for it but not finding it. Or what this means

You *might* try installing OC+MotB, then *back-up* VO_X1.zip somewhere safe. Then install SoZ, and put VO_X1.zip back where it was : ProgFiles->Atari->NWN2->Data (install folder)

Last, try the Update again

så i uninstalled the game and installed the game agian but before i update the NWN 2 SOZ i need to back up the VO_X1.zip? is that right?

close .. back-up the VO_X1.zip before you *install* SoZ

then move it back in place, before you update SoZ



no guarantees, but it's exactly what I would try.

OC+MotB = VO_X1.zip
SoZ != VO_X1.zip

VO_X1.zip in c:\\\\program files\\\\Atari\\\\Neverwinter Nights 2\\\\Data folder
need to back up VO_X1.zip, before install SoZ
need to put back VO_X1.zip, after install SoZ

it did work i have update the game. When i did have all the game install then i did not find the VO_X1.zip. I did uninstall the game and installed the game and before i did install the soz i did take away the VO_X1 file and after i was done installed the game i did put it back agian and its work just like you said thx
