There I was all ready to fire up a rant about how they ate up animation frames in combat to help speed it up but ended up feeling disjointed, to find out you refer to cutscene animations.

I appreciate that sacrifice, personally.
Makes it a more personal gaming experience. And Varric's animation in that scene is great. Not just the bolt turning but the cocky swagger and head posturing, love it! Even though only a few pieces of hair is animated, that is generally all it takes to add some flair. Looks like the character animations have some more *personality* now. Very cool.

Call me stupid, but I didn't saw Beth's hair moving! And I've this whole thread, with great attention to that image!
But regarding animations in general, they look very good, specially the bolt-twirling and the "soup-opera sex" (those in which people have sex in clothes, but I guess they didn't showed the "good stuff" anyways). I know what I'll ask dosn't have much too do with animations, but will there be an animation for cleaning blood this time, for those times a la Gears of War 2, where everyone get's more soaked in blood than Rick in Splatterhouse? It would really make my day to see characters cleaning the blood from their faces after some battles.
