No.

And if there is and the single player is less for it I will hex everyone of you who said yes.

I have something better. Cutting off their balls and selling them to a Krogan.

So it wouldn't impede on ME3's story at all if a multiplayer mode is created, since the MP and SP will be worked on by separate teams. The story will still be flushed out as can be and so will the multiplayer.

Uh, BioShock 2 and Medal of Honor would like a word with you.

That's quite ****ing obvious but getting to that poin in deduction would require thinking and just a little bit less geek rage.

Wrongo. Medal of Honor was still ****** poor regardless of the two separate teams, and no one played BioShock 2's multiplayer.

That's because Medal of Honor was just ****** poor and desinged mostly FOR the multiplayer as all FPS nowdays are - not the other way around. BioShock2 was just a poor game because of the deveolper change.

The more I think about it, the less willing I am to trade time dilation effects for multiplayer, no matter how well integrated it might be.

I think that sums it up so far......Bioware better be taking notes. If you want sales, please the customer (your fans who don't want multiplayer). You want a deduction in sales, go ahead and add multiplayer + risk the danger of an army of angry ME fans flooding through your doors.

You think they should make decisions re: ME3 based on a sample size of 204 poll responses?

Bioware will listen to us. Its a question of wether EA will.

Bioware is EA. EA is Bioware. They are not separate entities. The doctors are EA senior executives. Why don't people understand this?

Just saying that regardless of what happens, the story of ME3 will still be good and if for some reason if it isn't, it's because BioWare Edmonton missed something, not because of the multiplayer.

I don't know much about Medal of Honor or BioShock 2's multiplayer's, but Uncharted 2's multiplayer is still very fun, and from what I see has around 50k players daily. That may not be as good as CoD's but it's still viable enough.

If there is MP in Mass Effect 3 yall gonna buy it anyway..so why would it hurt sales?

Actually, if there is multiplayer in Mass Effect 3, nothing will convince me to buy it. Ever.

The only "multiplayer" I would accept would a be a game that you hold out as long as you cant against [insert ME3 villian here] as long as you can and your score gets you ranked on a leaderboard. MAYBE even some credits, BUT NOT A LOT!

No, no and no.

With time and effort spent on a multiplayer, the effort and creativity of the developers will be expended and thus a lesser emphasis on singleplayer will show. One of the greatest examples of this is Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. A series that has primarily emphasized development in a single player mode but suddenly jumped on the multiplayer bandwagon for the sake of having multiplayer. The multiplayer was decent but I played it for a week but it got boring and the novelty worn off quickly. This resulted in a decent single-player mode but nowhere near the caliber of Assassins Creed 2, a game that was released only a year before. The narrative was relatively weak. You had awkward dialogue, little personalization of characters and little background info on objectives. Not to mention it was short too.

Mass Effect has almost perfected character development. Time and effort invested in a multiplayer will almost surely detract from the singleplayer.

Merry mother . . . argh. . Hell NOOO.

How many times do I have to say this. . . No matter who dose the MP aspect. . . THE COST WILL BE PASSED ON TO THE BUYER and ALSO TAKE FROM THE SINGLE PLAYER STORY. For crying out loud what you pay for these games is what allows these guys to pay their people, the very buildings and everything in them they work in, this server that allows us to talk, the very electricity that flows though those systems to keep things up and running in the EA - Bioware Business.

Plus given that it's a multi platform game, they will have to dedicate servers to this ($$$), any time spent on the development of MP will take away from the single player aspect PERIOD. Any time spent developing MP and anti hacking will be taking away from the single side. . .

AND YES I HATE COD and will not play it anymore because of the dam hacking, jeesh pull your heads out of your rear, you need to realize that that franchise is running away with your cash and all the hype surrounding that game really doesn't mean crap in the MP aspect where tons of lazy players continually download the latest aimbot, trainer, etc program usually sadly because they can't have their way. . . Which makes the game really a war between who has the least latency and highest speed computer it might as well be a MMO with the aimbot already part of the program. (with NO STORY) And if you think the consoles aren't hacked. . . HA! You guys really don't know what's going on out there.

If you guys enjoy COD - MP, HALO - MP, (need I say more. . . ) fine play it, leave ME 3 alone. There are plenty of MP games out there. . Hells bells there are plenty of Muli-Player FREE TO PLAY Shooters out there too! (WITH NEAR ZERO STORY TO THEM.) Let the ME3 development team work on the story that makes ME3 . . . ME3!

I should say something else here as well. . For those of you who don't realize it, the suscess of the DLC's determines rather or not the dev team is given the 'green' light to proceed with another. This is the way it is. . . Unless you folks are willing to work as indentured servants - slaves. . .

I absolutely do not want multiplayer in ME3 in any way shape or form. For me to accept it the single player stuff would have to be absolutely flawless with pretty much no faults at all. And the basic reasoning is this: any time and effort and resources put into adding a superfluous multiplayer component could be better put into making the existing game better and richer.

God no.

Multiplayer adds a boatload of idiots who will come here assuming the single player game is just a launch pad for multiplayer, call all of us f*gs and other such bigoted terms while they jack off to their own uber skill and make the forums a living hell.

NO!  I won't buy the game if it has MP.  ME2 was the "personal" story of the ME franchise and yet Shepard was sidelined to guest star status.  I'd much prefer ME3 concentrate on Shepard as a leader and character and not as just another party member.  I'd also rather have BW spend every red cent on the single player game. They will no doubt make MP spin offs and I hope people will enjoy them.  Until then, NO!

I know a mod said ME3 would be a single player game, but I cdertainly wish a dev would come in and end this debate once and for all.

I do not want to see mutliplayer in mass effect 3..........

HOWEVER ......   I'm not oposed to a co op mode that lets a friend take over control (or assume direct control:lol:)  of like Tali or Garrus or who ever.  A co op mode might work, but no death matches or capture the flag or any of that other BS .... co op mode, IF THEY CAN DEVELOPE it with out taking away from the development time of the story and single player experience.
