Impulse Sig Ed pre-orders also get it:

Customers who pre-ordered Dragon Age 2 Signature Edition will also receive the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais bonus items.

Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up. I pre-ordered from Best Buy but no indication from them yet. Hopefully all retailers update their info soon :)

Okay I have a feeling that this offer is only available to those who order the regular version of the game. Those of us who pre-ordered sig ed will not get it :(

Take. That. Back. I will have as much free stuff as possible!

:( All signs point to it though. Gamestop Digital Sig Ed for PC has no sword and shield.

Also at  Impulse. Note Dragon Age 2 and not Sig Ed.

It's called Positive Manifistation...if you declare something to be so and truly believe...it happens...Now take it back good sir...your negative assumptions will not deny me of more free stuff!

is the sword a two hander sword?

also, I hope other legendary items, like the Staff of Parthalan, will level up as well?

Game stop now has a per-order bonus, the items are:

Fadeshear Sword:

Improves with each level-up

I seriously hope they do this better than Fable III's similar system did.

It's a great idea, but Fable III didn't really pull it off, I believe BioWare can though. :o

I feel it... the sky, it's falling!

I ordered from Amazon. They had preorder bonuses for Origins, I'm assuming they'll have them for DA2 as well. If not, I'll just have to manage.

I always feel weird using preorder items anyway. I use them until I find something comparable to replace them with, then they're out the door.

The only thing Fable III pulled off was pretty decent coop for an RPG. The entire rest of the game was a step backward from the previous games in the series.

To those who are wondering:

Yes, all Gamestop pre-orders, regardless of time or edition, will be getting the pre-order bonuses.

I wonder if these 2 items are meant to go together as a Sword and Shield set, cuz they don't really match, visually or description-wise...........

I do hope that the Fadeshear sword is a 2h, cuz I'm already thinking of ways it can fit with my characters.........lol

I couldn't disagree more about Fable 3...I considered it leaps and bounds better in every way possible then Fable 2. But of course Fable: The Lost Chapters still reigns.

It begins. Someone needs to break out the graph from DA1 to show how rediculous this is going to end up being.

Think they do this on purpose to bug people who are OCD. Troll yer fans Bioware. Troll yer fans.

All this does is reward the damn pirates.

Maker, my enemies are abundant.
Many are those who rise up against me.
But my faith sustains me; I shall not fear the legion,
Should they set themselves against me.

You are forgiven good sir, may The Maker watch over your path.

I really didn't expect a shield to have this much detail in it..

I see this bonus as more of a "Pre-order and get this great blue silk, comes with complementary arms and armour! Rather than the other way around."

What I'm worried about is how Hawke is keeping 2 swords, 2 Staves, 2 shields, a magic ring, a bow, and a magical belt(an armory worthy of any dragon's treasure hoard), all in the quant little village of lothering without raising any suspicions.

As gamebreaking as this is, I find that Varric knowing and narrating Hawke's sexual adventures is quite a bit more...disturbing.

"You start with one item, and then you have to buy the rest!"

Because BioWare wants us to be captains of industry.

I read this post and spit my water all over the keyboard, then I got very sad.

EDIT:Surely we would start with the Staff of Parthalan, it being a family heirloom and all.

So, I preordered the sig edition, with next to no gameplay footage, because I put my faith in bioware, and because I have a preorder with a different vendor, I won't get these items? This is so lamecore.
