Personally, i like the pre-order stuff, but i do agree with you that, story-wise, there's often no attempt to make these items make sense. i just wanted to point out though, that hawke is part of a high up noble family, there's no real reason to think he's a *poor* refugee.

It's part of a high up noble family in Kirkwall. We don't know how wealthy his family was in Lothering.

Yeah that's what i'm saying. they had to get the hell out of Dodge Lothering due to the blight, and so probably don't have much, but there's no way to know (until we've played) how well off (or not) the Hawkes are.

Well, one person said the ring that comes with the SE was Rogue specific, however their "source" did not even exist, so take that with a pinch of salt.

Never know, maybe there'll be something when they reveal more about what's included tomorrow.

God all this info should have come out earlier. tha availability of information is how I finally decided to preorder ME2 from Play.com They were offering Terminus armour and a gun, Amazon was offering another armour.

I can only hope that Play.com is given a exclusisve item as well as thats where im gettin DA2

All platforms exept PS3 at the moment but thats only becuse of a glitch that there fixing.

I did read the topic . I was confused because it says on several different sites that sig ed. gets the upgrades (inc the fadeshear sword and the lion of orlais) but people are saying on here that you do and you dont which is why I asked .

Hopefully the writers implement something along the lines of Tom Bombadil and the ancient weapons from the Barrows. I.e. that you don't have the items as a refugee, but somewhere relatively early in the game you'll gain access to them.

If you collect ALL the promo items you unlock an alternate timeline for DA2. Instead of fleeing to Kirkwall, Hawke single-handedly defends Lothering from the Blight and the Reapers.

I talked with the gamestop's goy, and he told me that they don't know anything about the bonus weapons. If a dev can respond, it is a bonus all Gamestop shops put or is only specific for certain nations? In the Italian Gmespot's site they don't say anything about the bonus.

Damn, now I wanna know if GAME is going to have an item and whether or not it will be better than Amazon, because I switched my pre-order from one to the other (due to an annoying mixup when I ordered Awakening, which has led me to unreasonable paranoia). I'm sure they will though.

That set looks nice though, and seeing as we all get it, I'll have to give them to Aveline.
