It's happened plenty of times. There was the Ghost Ship saga. Taetrus seemed neverending.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
Am I the only one who's finding it suspiciously interesting that this chain of news has been going for like a week now? I don't think this has happened before.

... which is well within the 150 year life expectancy of humans at that point. Plus the being frozen for some of that time.Dionkey wrote...
Seriously WTF. The descendants on earth would have to be at least 120 years old.James2912 wrote...
Wait descendants are these people the original colonists? Which makes them immortal or something? or am I reading this wrong?

Well you have to think this is assuming they were children when they travelled, very unliekly. They would be near if not over 150 years by now.praetor_alpha wrote...

I enjoy reading the accompanying commentary to the articles on the CDN site, since they're (mostly) from the perspective of in-universe characters. They're also often quite funny.

I like it too! Plus you can post your own comments!
And thanks guys for clarifying I didn't remember the 150 year life span!

Oh, yeah. The first story was on 3/28/10. The final story? 12/27/10. Around 40 entries in total. Taetrus had even more entries: around 60, starting on 2/23/10 and ending on 12/20/10
Alpha Centauri's got nothing on those, with its measly 5 entries at this point.

As noted, that's if they're lucky. Also, that figure applies to the humans who've been part of galactic civilization post-contact with the Citadel. It's really not that hard: they did not have FTL. The Charon Relay had not been discovered, nor had the prothean cache that led to said relay. The amount of subjective time that's passed for them is way less than the ~110 years since their departure.

I've always wondered if Zombie-president was a nod to Cerberus intervention with the Lazarus project.Pacifien wrote...
Not to mention the zombie president. Wonder how that's working out for them.
It seems like just the sort of thing Cerberus would try and get away with. 'The President's dead. We don't trust his vice-president to take Humanity in the right direction. Let's maintain a farce until we revive him in secret.'
And revive him with upgrades, no doubt. Cerberus control chip for those... crucial decisions?

Did their family members stop breeding then when the colonists went on the expedition?

Looks like today may be the final entry for this story...I guess we will have to wait and see for sure. Definetly interesting. This is just one of the reasons that I love BIOWARE! They continue to an amazing job coming up with such cool ways to expand the universe.

With all the reporting on garvug they did I'm kinda hoping general partinax makes an appearance in ME3. He had some cool quotes.
