Im gonna venture to say there will be no fem Hawke pregnancy in DA2, no proof, just have a feeling its not part of the plot. too much story for only a small female player side to see. too serious a thing to deal with and more loose ends down the road in like DA3 perhaps..

This was touched upon very briefly in another topic, so I figured I'd create another thread where we could focus on it!
How do you all feel about a possibility of seeing pregnancy in BioWare RPGs? Would you be indifferent about it? Would you like to be able to get your female LIs pregnant if you're playing a male (and having blue children as FemShep in ME I guess)? How about FemHawke and FemShep getting pregnant?

(note: in case somebody thinks pregnancy has been confirmed in DA2 due to this thread, it hasn't, I'm merely curious to see people's feelings on the matter whether it's in the game or not)

If a game wants to include that kind of content the developers need either to restrict player freedom and have a preset story for the game that allows for little player input (predefined LI, predefined way the relationship progresses...), or have to whole thing to be some text with the child popping up as inventory item (BG2, Kings bounty ...) or make the personality of both LI and child nearly non existant (Sims, fable ...). All three options do not fit well with the kind of game Bioware has developed lately and I really hope that they do not try to do it and keep away from that topic in game.

Indeed, however I can see it working for an NPC you interact with quite often; say Bethany or Aveline.

I see a pretty big difference really... Have a feeling by explaining it i will be going into sexism territory though. Fair has nothing to do with it really. Just logistics

So should fathers. In any case, hooray for time jumps. If a year passes, or a year and a few months, that's plenty of time--especially since Hawke doesn't leave Kirkwall too often.

I'm just waiting for someone to come in and start about how every orientation deserves the same kind of recognition, and that if pregnancy is an option, same-sex couples should be given the choice to adopt.
