Everything is "bonus" these days. In a couple of years games will be the character selection screen and intro, rest will be added as bonus or DLC.
Come on, how can it be a bonus when it's shipped from launch and is even included in the retail copy.
Dragon Age 5 - Character Selection
Bonus Content:
Textures and Decals
Weapons and Items
Voice Acting and Cinematics
DLC available for free through pre-order or for 10.99 at game launch. DLC includes Game activation and The Dragon Age 5 Story Mode!
The Black Emporium, Fadeshear and the Lion of Orlais. New Bonus content for Dragon Age II

How the mabari will be handled? It's a companion ala DAO or it acts like a summon? Tell me it's the second one...

The mabari hound is summoned by
blowing a magical whistle while in battle to fight at your side till
the battle is won and then disappear back where it came from.

Actually I just remembered there's a mod for Origins that does relatively the same thing, Extra Dog Slot.

Chris, do you perhaps know which European stores participate? I don't want to pre-order the game to discover that I don't get my pre-order bonuses.Chris Priestly wrote...
The Lion of Orlais shield and the Fadeshear sword will be oonly available to players who pre-order Dragon Age II before launch. They are included in the Signature Edition.

This was not made very clear, was it. Rest assured that if you pre-ordered before 11th of Jan, you will get the Signature edition which includes EVERYTHING.

My Hawke will work his a** off for his magic items, not get them because he's a good customer.
Pre-order items are a bunch of bull as far as I'm concerned.

And all promo stuff in general, I'd say, but if it's there and it's done already, why not stick your hand in the transparent designer VIP cookie jar.

Yes, pre-order items are a stupid gimic to try and force people to by the game at launch price (I'm looking at you CoD). That being said, for those of us who planned on buying the game at launch price to begin with, why not enjoy the extra stuff?

"Force"? Is there a meaning of that word I don't know? They are trying to entice people to buy the game at launch price with these items, but that is not "forcing" in any way, shape, or form.

Does anyone know how the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais are included in the game. Do we get a redemption code into
email or will there be a card in the game package that contains the code?
Nobody knows yet. But presumably it'll be a card-insert for physical copies and an e-mail for electronic ones, or something similar. I believe that's how Origins worked, and I see no reason to change that anytime soon.
Regular edition, i'd imagine the Black Emporium would be included, but Fadeshear/Lion of Orlais (as they're pre-order only) emailed/on receipt when collecting in store?
I did PM

I did PMChris Priestly asking for confirmation, but as of yet have had no response.
I PM'd David Gaider asking him if Anora was actually baron...and never got an answer....

Hey guys, just a little clarification on the Mirror: it will warp and bend Hawke's appearance to the player's will, but your gender remains the same.
This is a feature I worked on and I'm glad to hear you are all so excited about it!
Then sir you are responsible for one of coolest in-game customizations ever!
Well done!
