Also, Sandal can't be the owner of the shop since he appears in a place that looks like it is in the town of Kirkwall and not underground:

I'm also adding this because it just has to be added:

If all editions get the market..what's the point of including it as DLC?

It stops people from selling their games - once used, DLC codes can't be reused by second user.

So in other words, it forces people to buy new copy of the game instead used one.

Not all can always afford £40. Anyway, most people can and most people buy games on the day of release. Even after 4 months they remain at least £30 and so Bioware still makes money as do most companies regardless of if a few people buy it at a low price.

Ahoy! We're still busy working, but I've seen a few more questions (and have been asked directly as well) with regards to family appearance. I will probably not be answering any further questions on this device, you will be completely free to play with it yourselves soon enough!
____
The Mirror of Transformation is an insidious and twisted device. When you alter your appearance with the device it doesn't just change who you are, but it changes who you were and will be in the future. It selects from one of the infinite possible universes where you were brought up with a different lineage and twists that thread of history into the currently experienced reality. The ripples of this action affect your family and other people's memory of your appearance as well.
___
To people worried you cannot modify the default Hawke appearance I will mention there is a fairly good selection of preset appearances you can base your modifications off of, you won't be left wanting.

This isn't a question on the Mirror so I am hoping you may be able to answer it. It is a fairly minor one too. I am just wondering how much of the Black Emporium is actually in-game. In that does it actually feel like some mysterious, underground market, etc. Basically how much of the description text translates into the game.

There is lore specifically on the black emporium, it is a place you can visit and interact with.  Beyond that I won't say, I think it would be better for you to experience it.

Personally I think it's pretty cool.  I believe you'll enjoy visiting the place.

Oh yeah, I love some mystery. I just wanted to know I can actually really interact with it. I am not sure how intentional it is but it gives off to me a very Troll Market from Hellboy 2, or Goblin Market from Changeling: The Lost vibe.

The mirror of transformation and changing your appearance sounds like what Ego Draconis did.

Thanks Michael! Is the sword just for warriors or is it rogue friendly too?

Does that mean that if you change your appearance and then there's a flashback in the narration, you'll have the new appearance during that flashback (provided there are flashbacks) ?Posted Image

So if I just use the mirror for the roleplay purpose of altering my hairstyle/tattoos every once in a while, or add a few lines on my face, it won't change the way my family looks, right ? I imagine only skin tone and facial structure would affect that...Posted Image

As I understand it, people will always remember you as looking the way you do with your ALTERED appearance.

Thus, even if you spent 30 years of your life with green eyes, if you use the mirror and change your green eyes to auburn, suddenly all those who have looked into your green eyes in the past will remember them as auburn.

It would be hard to justify it any other way, storywise I suppose.

Wow looks like they gave this item alot of thought. Its nice that changing Hawkes Appearance wont be a retcon..
Though I still feel weird about using it.. I'll just do my best to make a good looking Hawke from the start..

I can't help but wonder what they mean when they say "access to exclusive magic" Do they mean something to increase our magical abilities like a arcane tome? Or simply being able to buy and learn new and unique spells?

I think I'm gonna use the mirror only to change the hairstyle or the the beard. I'm not goning to change the facial structure, I'm going to make a good-looking Hawke from the start.

Pardon my ignorance but I am not sure how this works. The sword and the shield will be inside the game case via a piece of paper with a redeem code on it? Is that how they are giving it to the people who pre ordered?

Except Divinity II's customisation was awful, so there really was no point to it.

This Mirros of Transformation is a really neat idea!
Oh, and mabari! It says, 'beloved pet at home', so I'm hoping the mabari won't be just a summon? Will we be able to interact with him (her?) outside of combat?

Usually Gamestop prints the code on your receipt when you pick the game up. That's for in-store pickup. Not sure about online.
