Apparently GAME.co.uk aren't offering the pre-order bonuses for the signature edition. So it's still true that all the bonuses are offered to signature edition holders right?

If this is true then just who the hell in the UK is offering the pre-order bonus. And why have so many of them pulled out?

Haven't heard anything about HMV not offering promo content. Aside of them it appears the only way to have gotten the promo content in the UK was to order it straight from the EA store.

This is getting absurd.

And whilst I was totally on Bioware's side about it being the distributors who should be dealing with this, but given the massive scale of the problem, it seems the simplest way to solve this would be for Bioware to offer the content straight from themselves.

Chris replied to my inquiry about something along these lines with a straight forward "This will not be possible." I'd like to know why it would not be possible.

The more I follow this story the more and more people appeared to be getting screwed out of this bonus content. Once HMV pulls out (if they do) I can't think of any more UK dealers that are still offering the promo content.

Further to all this: just checking the EA store... it appears to me that the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais are being offered as pre-order promo content for people just pre-ordering the NORMAL edition? So how come those of us who have gone to the trouble of pre-ordering the SIG edition from various retailers WONT be getting these items... seems a bit odd to me...

^ The note under it says people who pre-ordered the signature edition get them too. :)

After taking a small look at the game.co.uk website pertaining to the pre-order bonus content for Dragon Age II, you get Fadeshear, and Lion of Orlais shield. The Black Emporium, and Mirror of Transformation and the Mabari War Hound aren't listed. It looks like gamers in the UK aren't going to get all of what is being offered to others who have pre-ordered in the US, and other countries.

Here is the link for the game.co.uk page with DAII on it.

The Black Emporium, thankfully is included in all new copies. So us Brits will at least get that.

It does however appear that a lot of us will not be getting the pre-order items with the SE. Rather unacceptable, considering BioWare stated everyone gets them, no matter what retailer they pre-ordered from here... <_<

The link you provided to is to the Vanilla edition of DA2. Black Emporium, Mirror and Mabari hound are part of the in box content for the SIGNATURE edition, not the vanilla edition. Those who have ordered the SIG edition in the UK will still get those in box items. What pretty much nobody in the UK and few in the EU seem to be getting are the promotional bonus items FADESHEAR and LION of ORLAIS shield.

i've already contacted chris, posing the question "is there ANY way at all that we could be reimbursed by Bioware for the codes if we prove we haven't gotten them with the box when we should have." and he said "Sorry this will not be possible." SO, either amazon sort it out or you end up shelling out for a second copy (which of course Bioware would LOVE), just to get the two new items, then you could sell the unopened copy on.

Have they actually bothered to give a reason why this wouldn't be possible yet?

I pre-ordered the sig edition and have the confirmation email.

It is no longer on their website as you cannot order it anymore...

"Customers who have already preordered this product will also receive the bonus item."

"Your bonus item will be emailed to you on the release of Dragon Age 2."

Everyone experiencing a similar problem to the AmazonUK one, that the retailer is apparently not giving out the promo items, please contact them directly and explain the situation, we appear to have had a break through with AmazonUK thanks to The Uncanny. The reply they recieved made it quite evident that AmazonUK did not know about this promotion. Hopefully they'll rectify the situation soon enough. The message also implied that it would be possible for them still to implement the promotion.

Don't give up hope yet!

If you want to show support for those of us missing out on the pre-order bonuses (even if you are getting them), despite BioWare saying everyone would get them, then please add this code to your signature.

You'll then have this snazzy banner to show that you support BioWare keeping their word (complete with a link to the post stating everyone would get it):

Even though the items are not that important, I do not like the fact that a lot of SE pre-orders will not be getting the items. I pre-ordered the SE from Amazon.com, so it looks like I might be one of many not getting them.

If this does happen, I do not think I will bother with pre-orders anymore. Here is an interesting article I whole heartly agree with: www.firingsquad.com/games/Firing_Points_Pre_Order_Bonus/

nice one btcentral. im kinda reluctant to aggro the bioware staff until i find out for definite whether AmazonUK knew about the bonus items at all. If that is the case then someone at the Bioware advertising team didn't do there job of telling AmazonUK about it and thus it's BW's fault. But i'll just wait until some sort of confirmation roles in.

is the black emporium only included in the pre-orders from EA or from other vendors cause I ordered through Amazon?

black emporium IS IN the box and is from ALL distributors. The issue is with the Fadeshear sword and Lion of Orlais shield, where the redeem codes ARE NOT in the box and apparently reliant on distributors signing up to Bioware.

Bioware should be able to issue a universal code to Pre-order folks like myself, that would unlock those two items. Anyone who has the SE has pre-ordered anyway.

CP has explicitly stated in a personal email to myself that this is in no way shape or form possible at all ever. "No, sorry this will not be possible." in those or very similar words.

I damned well hope so. That's what im banking on, BW advertisement crew go back to Amazon, explain the situation, Amazon go "oh **** yeah, we want in on that." and everything's sorted.
