I can't help but wonder if the Black Emporium will be similar to the Cerebrus Network from Mass Effect 2. Will this serve as some sort of gateway for new content to be introduced into Dragon Age 2?

That would be kind of cool, if there's some sort of dialog like, "It seems you have a benefactor, Ser Hawke" leading to getting the DLC items, rather than having them simply be in your inventory unexplained at the beginning of the game.

The Black Emporium [snipped] The Lion of Orlais shield and the Fadeshear sword [snipped] are included in the Signature Edition.

Possibly a silly question, but just to confirm - I ordered a physical copy of the Signature Edition online, and will be getting it in the post - now, does this mean the code(s) will get emailed to me, or will they actually be included in the box?

Thanks :)

I've just ordered my copy of the Collector's Edition Game guide too, £14.99 play.com with free postage.
That's my finances spoken for in February - stoopid sister having her 30th stoopid birthday 2 weeks before DA2.
Still, can always pinch my flatmates food for a while

Paid off mine at Gamestop as well. Don't really use the guide when playing the game for spoilers and such, but afterwards I like to have a listing of quests and such that i missed the first time through. A picture of the Collector's Guide is listed on Amazon.com actually, not sure anywhere else. Looks awesome in it's hardbound glory.

Edit: Here's the link.

So, I take it pre-order items won't be granted to us free of charge? If so, awesome. I can finally use them with a good conscience once I've acquired them.

As for the Mirror of Transformation... well, I absolutely love it.

Holy smokes, Bioware! This game just keeps looking better and better.

I hope the Mabari looks like the one pictured, because it is awesome. Or maybe it's customizable? Like the color of it, or warpaints and such. Either way, it looks great.

Also, no longer will I be plagued by an hour+ of getting my char's face just right!

I rarely use the guides themselves, but I love books for the sake of books - especially well-designed ones such as this and the DA:O one.
My bookcases on the other hand? - they're threatening to revolt unless I stop adding to them;)

It is just him and an ox with cart frowning at you.

The cart is sinister, hence the name from the locals.

This must be doing wonders for the sales of new copies. I approve :)

The summoning of the Mabari reminds me of Drizzt D'Urden's Guenhwyvar from the Forgotten Realms' Drow Trilogy

Reminds me of one of the wolves from ASoI&F, out doing their own thing but ready to come help. Unless sitting by the fire at Hawke's manor when not questing, then I suppose that doesn't work...^_^

Awesome! The Mirror of Transformation is really cool; I just hope we don't have to pay ten gold to use it. I can dye my hair all the time!
