Possibly a silly question, but just to confirm - I ordered a physical copy of the Signature Edition online, and will be getting it in the post - now, does this mean the code(s) will get emailed to me, or will they actually be included in the box?

Thanks :)

I'm wondering that myself, too.

I think that the codes will be in the box. I hope.

Nice. And all of this content is available to everyone who pre-ordered DA2, no matter which retailer we pre-ordered at?

Yes. :)

Excellent. Thank you very much for the reply. I was afraid this was going to be a case of finding out I don't get any of them because I pre-ordered the Signature Edition from amazon rather than Gamestop. Also, like I saw someone else ask, are we going to be e-mailed the codes for these items from our retailers, or will they come inside the game case?

Do we need xbox live for this?

Yes (on Xbox only of course). A silver account will do however.

What is the cheapest way to connect without wireless adapter?  Can I just use a Flash drive and download dlc and store on my gamertag without a whole lot of trouble?

If you have a high speed internet connection (DSL or whatever) then a standard ethernet cord is all you would need. Plug it in and go. As far as I know there is no way to put the DLC on a flash drive and transfer it over. You could always go over to a friends house that has DSL and use their internet to hook your Xbox to it and download it, but you will more than likely have to be connected online to access the content in game.

A mod told me a while back I could but I'll ask him again to be sure.  Thanks.  My 360 is far away from the computer but I have a good idea how to do this.  I have a memory unit (not hard drive) in my 360 so do you think the dlc can be stored in there?

Are the items sold at the black emporium game-breakingly overpowered?

Come on, we only get to know two of the items? Does anyone have any idea what all the other stuff at the emporium could be? Since we get no description other than that they're "magical" it could be literally anything!

A memory card should work, assuming that the size of the DLC isn't bigger than what the memory card can hold. Not 100% sure however.

The Black Emporium and its associated content (dog, mirror, etc.) should probably be a code in the game box, since it comes with all copies of the game.  The Signature Edition stuff will probably have a code in he SE box as well.  The sword and shield, which are preorder bonuses, will probably be sent as an email from Amazon - I preordered from Amazon like you.  If you go to the page for the regular edition of DA2, it says that the preorder bonus items will have an email code sent after the game is released, and that Signature Edition preorders will automatically qualify for those items.

This must be doing wonders for the sales of new copies. I approve :)

The summoning of the Mabari reminds me of Drizzt D'Urden's Guenhwyvar from the Forgotten Realms' Drow Trilogy

Reminds me of one of the wolves from ASoI&F, out doing their own thing but ready to come help. Unless sitting by the fire at Hawke's manor when not questing, then I suppose that doesn't work...^_^

Every time I see that Lion of Orlais shield, it reminds me of Tywin Lannister from A Song of Ice & Fire.
Wonder if we can customize our dog too?  I could paint him white and call him Ghost! Image IPB

Hey thanks.  I PM'd Chris Preistly about it.

Shiny new gear never interests me much, but HOLY CRAP this Mirror of Transformation sounds awesome!  You mean I won't have to sit through the opening cutscenes every single time I make a character only to discover that their face is all wonky?  YES!!!

Ok sounds like all who pre prdered Dragon age 2 get this no matter where they ordered it from just to confirm, i live in Canada and i ordered from Best Buy and i ordered it for the PS3, so will i be getting all this? i ask because of this slightly confusing line....

"GOOD ONLY EXISTING PRE-ORDERS OF AND FOR NEW PURCHASES OF DRAGON AGE II FOR THE PC or XBOX 360 (the "PRODUCT"). Offer is available to all PS3 players when they purchase and login to the game with a valid EA account prior to March 20, 2011."

What does that mean? does that mean that no matter what all PS3 owners will get this content as long as they log in to the game using there account?

It seems not.

The "Mirror of Transformation". Gaze into it and you can change your very appearance. Hair, eyes, tattoos, and more can be changed with the click of a button.

Yeah, shortly after making that post I went to amazon's DA2 page and saw that. So two days after it ships they'll send the e-mail with the codes. So first an upgrade to a special edition just for pre-ordering before a certain date, now even more extra content just for pre-ordering. Can't wait. This'll be the first time I get pre-order bonuses for a game.
