I want to pre-order DA2 from steam (just for extra content) but i'm not really sure i should cause i use a different email on steam. Will that be a problem? I mean when i play Dragon Age 2 it will let me sign in with my EA address, right? (kind of a silly question but i rarely digitaly purchase games). So anyone?

The email of your Steam account has nothing to do with the email of Electronic Arts/Bioware service. If you use different emails, you still are able to play the game and have full access to all the features.

Basically, some gaming companies have their own pages to store the game progress, the achievements and the DLCs of their clients.

For example:
Mafia II - You can purchase the DLCs directly from Steam and they will be available on your account. Steam will download the game and the DLC automatically for you. The game has steam achievements.
Dragon Age Origins - If you purchase the game on steam, you will have an option to check your CD-Keys. With these CD-keys, you can register the game and the extra content in this site. If they release new DLCs, you need to purchase them on Bioware/EA store. DA doesn't have steam achievements. You need to login in game with your BioWare Social Network account to have access to the extra content.

Considerable let down as I was pretty excited to get this as soon as it came out. Guess I'll be waiting for the sales and playing Witcher 2 instead.

Why would someone pre-order a game from a DD platform? It's not like they're going to run out of copies.

So you can get the pre-order bonuses and play it right when it releases, I mean why do I even have to tell you this? Seriously some people lol.

I'll be voting with my dollars and not accepting the inferior offer on Steam even though Steam is my preferred distribution service. I hold EA/Bioware accountable for the bad customer service experience not Steam.

Also, please remove or retrain Christ Priestly as a forum moderator... he is not representing your company well.

I will be voting with my dollars and won't buy this game at all.
