We are pleased to reveal new bonus content for players who purchase Dragon Age II.

The Black Emporium - Hidden below Kirkwall is the Black Emporium. This mysterious location contains many strange and powerful magics and items. By visiting the Black Emporium, players will be able to use the Mirror of Transformation and change their appearance. They'll be able to find exclusive magic and and crafting stores. And they'll find a whistle allowing them to summon a powerful Mabari Hound in battle.

The Lion of Orlais - A mighty shield that comes with two rune slots as well as granting the player greater health and the ability to earn more XP.

Fadeshear - A powerful sword that actually improves as the player gasins levels. It also does extra damage versus demons and the undead.

The Black Emporium will be included in all copies of Dragon Age II including the Signature Edition, copies pre-ordered between now and launch, and copies purchased new in stores after launch.

The Lion of Orlais shield and the Fadeshear sword will be oonly available to players who pre-order Dragon Age II before launch. They are included in the Signature Edition.

I have a question Chris, will all of the things that the people who pre-ordered the Signuture Edition got for free, be available for purchase as DLC by those of us who pre-ordered the standard edition through Steam?

Sweet, combine this with the Signature Edition content, the Staff of Parthalan, Hindsight, and whatever bonuses we get from Dragon Age: Legends & Dragon Age: Journeys II and I'm gonna be very happy once I have my Dragon Age II copy.

It'd be great if You could just purchase some preorder items as dlc. In dragonage we couldn't so most people just used "knock-off" free mods that basically imitated those things...

I visited the official page and saw this, and immediately came here to see if this was included in the signature edition. Needless to say I am relieved.

Huh.. Wow. All that stuff packed in the Black Emporium is pretty neat. I'm already getting more bonuses to know what to do with!



And the mabari! It's hard to imagine a hound like that to be as lovable as Dog was in Origins. I assume from the text on the page that from having the Black Emporium, we'll have the Mabari permanently in our homes?



I'm guessing when we whistle for the mabari, it'll basically function as a Summon Animal spell for the Rangers in Origins?

@Chris Priestly: is there a way to redeem the code for those items like the other previously put "staff of parthalan" & "Hindsight"? or they will come directly once registered the software code?



I want to precise that I bought Dragon Age 2 on december, through Direct2Drive, but I didn't receive any code to redeem for the moment



I am patience I just do not want to miss out with these really greats addon. I think that you did a great job on advertising and creating an hype about those magical items
