You may want to update the announcement to say that not all copies of the SE edition will be getting Fadeshear and the Lion of Orlais as they are retailer specific. At the moment it reads like all copies will be receiving them.

True though I orderd from GAME (UK) and both the 360 and PS3 normal ones come with it as pre-ordered and there's an 'unknown' code mentioned in the SE, thouhgh I don't think its the staff of parthalan, tough it may of hindsight or the fadeshear and lion of orlais

So wait a second. We get several pieces of dlc just for purchasing? I thought the signature edition just came with an additional quest, soundtrack, and maybe a companion?

The soundtrack and 1 bonus character and several bonus items, possible reminders for DA:O. Might of Sten, Apostates Courage, Belwack shield  and Adder of Antiva and an unknown DLC, this is probably either the hindsight, fadeshear and lion of orlais or something different. Why it's it out yet!?:innocent:

 I preordered the Signature Edition so it is good to hear that I will get the Black Emporium, Fadeshear and the Lion of Orlais.

Does the Black Emporium code basically come in the box of every new copy of Dragon Age much like the Cerberus Network code came in the boxes of new copy's of Mass Effect 2?



I've having a little trouble figuring it out. It's not like a pre-order bonus, correct?

Yes, it comes in the box with all brand new copies of Dragon Age 2 :-)

I'm sure this has already been answered but I've read on different forums contradicting information. I preordered the Sig. Edition on PS3 from amazon close to a year ago, as soon as it was able to be preordered. My question is... will my preorder have these 3 items(Fadeshear,Lion of Orlais Shield, and The Black Emporium) included in it as well as all the other preorder goodies? I olny ask because I read on another page that Amazon's preorder's may not include these. Anyone that could answer this with a definate yes or no it would be very very much appreciated. ^^

The Black Emporium is not actually a preorder item.  It is given to all new purchasers.

As for the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais, Amazon's offer says the following:

Special Pre-Order Offer
Reserve your copy of Dragon Age 2 and receive the in-game Fadeshear Sword and the Lion of Orlais Shield. The sword provides additional damage vs. demons and undead, and the shield provides 2 added rune slots, adds to your health, and improves XP gain. A code to access the bonus content will be e-mailed within two days after your order ships. Existing pre-orders of Bioware Signature Edition will automatically qualify for this offer. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com, while supplies last, and limited to one purchase per customer. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time.

So the Signature Edition preorders should get their item.  I think one poster on another thread was told by someone at Amazon that they wouldn't get the items, but it is possible that that employee was mistaken.  Where did you read that Amazon's preorder would not include those items?

Just to clarify, I am referring to Amazon.com in the USA.  Other AMazon sites have different policies.  IIRC, the UK is the one confirmed not to be giving those items.

Honestly I couldnt pinpoint the exact page it was on that I read that because it was a few days ago, but it was somewhere in one of these forums. Thanks again, that was the best news I could have hoped for.

The reason I asked where you read that was because, as I mentioned, there was a poster in one of the threads who mentioned he asked about the preorder items coming with the Signature Edition and was told "no".  I was wondering whether you were referring to the same person.  I am hoping that was just a one time error on the part of the Amazon staff member who answered that question.  But, because Amazon's offer description specifically mentions the Signature Edition preorders, I think we should most likely be fine.  (I preordered he Signature Edition for PC from Amazon.com, so I am in the roughly the same situation as you are )

To my knowledge, JB Hi-Fi is the only Australian retailer offering the Fadeshear and the Lion of Orlais content. The Black Emporium is included in all new copies.

Like a few people i missed the dead line for the sig order, so im just wondering will there be a chance to purchase missed preorder stuff as dlc? and just a idea but why not make all preorder stuff available to purchase after a time! seems like a missed opportunity.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to purchase it, I know for a fact that you can buy the exiled prince dlc, not sure about the rest of it. I hate exclusive store pre-order bonuses.

if you could buy the stuff after the offer has expired it wouldn't be so bad but some ppl go out and buy multi copys just to get each bonus which is just madness.

I procrastinated on the Jan. preorder myself, and I am sure there are many (like me) that wish they hadn't.  If the game/story is good, and I can connect with the character as much as I did with DAO all those extra goodies will not matter to me after the first 5 minutes of gameplay.  This is not to put one gamer type against another, but it definitely helps ease the pain in this case if you are a character development/story centered gamer Vs. a gear/shiny/min-max centered gamer.

The main thing I was wanting was the Black Emporium anyway.

Now what to play....  or    ?

did you mean that it hasnt shown up here like the other content in your registered game promos? It wont show up here cause i believe its a code that comes with the game when you pick up your pre order.

Wait wait wait... I thought that part of the deal was that we were not going to get to change the look of the character, that it was sort of a Shareden thing.
