I really am not understanding why you all are getting so excited over this...I mean, EA is literally developing parts for the original game, but purposely not including it in the game so they can "generously give" it to you when you buy their product...all so that you can feel happier while living under the delusion that your getting something special, and fall for their pathetic attempt to combat the piracy and trading that has wrought their recent games? - mainly because they keep doing this kind of crap...

...I undersatnd why they're making the attempt...I just don't get why you all are reacting gratefully...because its looking a lot like EA is slapping us legit gamers in the face, while they're lying to us - telling us it's really loving kisses...

I just saw this popup when I tried to load the main site. Pretty awesome! I am getting more and more excited about DA2. I'm going to do a new playthrough of DA:O to get into the spirit of DA.

''The Black Emporium will be included in all copies of Dragon Age II including the Signature Edition, copies pre-ordered between now and launch, and copies purchased new in stores after launch.

The Lion of Orlais shield and the Fadeshear sword will be oonly available to players who pre-order Dragon Age II before launch. They are included in the Signature Edition.''

Is the mabari a companion or is he like the animals the ranger could summon in DAO?

I hope it's like the "dog mod" in DA:O where it's really either way.

Since I was unable to Pre-Order the Signiture addition, I was a little bummed at not having access to the content that came bundled with it aside from purchasing it from XBL (which is fine since I, unlike others, understand the *purpose* of DLC and what it permits the Devs to do with any and all excess profit) but getting this little bit of info today is a bright spot, to be sure.

I'm not all that Jazzed about the Lion Shield or the Fadeshear since I'm sure you will find items in game just a powerful, however, The Black Emporium sounds, and looks, pretty damn outstanding. Looking at the Art and description I can't help but be reminded of the Troll Market from Hellboy: The Golden Army (yes I'm sure it was in the comics as well, but I've only ever read a couple)

I *really* hope the place has that strangely dark and mystical feeling to it. Overall, this is some DLC news I can be happy about, so thanks to BioWare and the Devs for putting it together. Looking forward to launch.

Loving the look of the sword and shield, and getting to change our character's appearance without needing mods will be a pleasant change as well.

We're basically getting a "free accessory" with our purchase*.  Dry them eyes!  It's neat stuff.
