Unlike CoS Sarah Jinstar (Tip: There's a Edit link on your posts (not a complaint, just in case you weren't aware of it)), I'll say: "Not so well said, OS". I wish it was, but besides a well written entry, you have one view and one view only, people disagreeing with you, are according to you, completely wrong. That's how you come off as anyways. Accept it, some people, like myself, do not want to have multiple sources for their games; A) I don't want discs, as in retail.

I don't want to spread my purchases around. [C) I like the community tools Steam offers]. I don't go about saying you're an "idiot" for spreading your purchases about to save money and get whatever unique offer you might get from buying at (in example) Gamespot over Amazon.
Now sure, that means I might miss out on lower prices and what not, but if I got the money to support my gaming habits and sticking to one platform, who are you to say I am wrong in doing so? I personally don't mind when there is a special bow from purchasing at Gamespot, or a amulet from purchasing at Steam, a sword from Amazon, and so on forth. But I do mind when a seemingly single platform (wich happens to be one of the most popular ones) gets completely neglected.
Also, I might make note of, that since I use Steam plenty, being the only platform I use after all - I can easily with confidence state that Dragon Age 2 went up on pre-order right about midnight on the 12th of January, 2011 - at full price. I saw it with my very own eyes, on my very own computer, I was awake at the time and happened to be browing the Store. To me, that is basically right after Signature Edition pre-orders ended. It also feels way too convenient that it was a "problem" getting it to Steam, when they are possibly the biggest competitor to EA themselves.
As for your lovely and humorous statement about not deserving to play the game (hah! that actually made me laugh) - I'll rather say they don't deserve my money (EA anyways, BioWare certainly does, as they have undoubtedly worked hard on this title). Like I've stated before, I'll easily get this game at a bargain, with all DLC released, together with the "exclusive" Signature Edition items in the upcoming Ultimate Edition sometime next year during a 75% off sale. I don't "lose out" by not buying this game now. I got plenty of games that can keep me entertained (over 100 wich I haven't completed in fact), and right now I feel far more interested in The Witcher 2 than DA2 anyways. Again, one could thank EA for that.

For CoS Sarah Jinstar below: Since I don't wish to flood the forum I'll edit this post; How hard is it to grasp that some people wants to keep their games on a single platform? As in DO NOT want to use EA Store or Direct2Drive (etc.). Who are you to call someone zealots or idiots for sticking to a single platform in the first place? Are you the almighty center of the universe? All worship the almighty CoS Sarah Jinstar, death to all who may not share his/her opinions? Like I wrote above, I don't go saying people spreading their purchases about are poor cheapskates or idiots. If that is their choice, then fine, all the more power to them. I don't go saying people who stick to in example only Direct2Drive is idiots either. You need to broaden your view on the world, seriously. Posts like the one below are just sad. At least "OS" wrote a well written entry, even though it sounds like all who disagree with said person are wrong. Also asterix-ing doesn't make sense, you might want to try using less profanity and different words wich has the same meaning. I neither write "!111eleventyzero!", nor in all CAPS, or use words like "noes" being that it isn't actually a word. So you could've saved yourself the trouble of typing that out, because you are emotional and disagree incredibly strongly (by the looks of things). It just makes you look childish.
Edit #2: Learn what a wall of text looks like. Paragraphs and proper punctuation were both a part of this reply. I'll just go out on a whim and imagine you being in your teens. At least "OS" writes proper replies. I don't happen agree with his/her, what seems to be (to me) a narrow-minded view of "You should buy it somewhere else, even though you clearly state that you prefer having one outlet", but at least they are structured, and not using demeaning language to make someone not agreeing with a point of view look like whining little kids, nor do they contain profanity.
