Yes, the Signature Edition should include the goodies (and more) mentioned in the topic, even if you pre-ordered it back in 2010 and from Webhallen in Sweden.

The only thing that really bugs me about all the preorder gear, not that I really want to complain about extra free items, is that they're going to be way over powered like the CE items were from Origins and its going to make the game a cakewalk. Especially now that friendly fire is only on nightmare difficulty.
Special item or not, I heard some people (and the developpers) saying that origins was "to hard".
They claimed that the normal difficulty felt like hard. I don't know about them, but I played on nightmare
and it was a freaking cakewalk. So it seems DA2 will be more balanced (more easy).
In the end, specials item or not, the game will be far to easy, like every western made game. It's a shame.
I'd like for nightmare to actually give me a challenge for once. I hate just sitting watching my character ripe trough enemies like they're dolls.

I agree 100%, I believe if I remember correctly I played on hard for each of the 3 or 4 playthroughs I completed and the only time I had any sort of issue was with the Golems DLC's end boss. Its disappointing that in an effort to appeal to the more mainstream portion of the market RPG's in general are being so completely streamlined to the point of simplistic that those looking for a challenge are hard pressed to find one.

It would be nice if they could tailer Normal to the mainstream market and Easy to less experienced gamers or those uninterested in gameplay challenges, while making Hard and Nightmare more challenging for those seeking a challenge. I don't know what their plans are in that regard for DA2, but hopefully they can get that right.

. . . . As I explained to someone else earlier, I don't really agree with Steam being exempt from the Signature Edition, but I do find it utterly preposterous that people claim to be 'unable to purchase Dragon Age 2' and are 'refusing to buy it' simply because they cannot be arsed to spend two minutes registering on, say, Direct2Drive or GamersGate and preordering/pre-purchasing the game in that manner.
Limiting yourself to one sales platform is ridiculous. No, it's beyond ridiculous, especially when you, more often than not, get no benefit from purchasing from that one store . . . .
You are missing a rather important point about Steam. I can drop my entire collection of Steam purchased games on any system that I use - even a brand new one - just about automatically. That saves me a crap ton of time, and that is hugely valuable. I also think you are too dismissive of the value associated with the Steam community, but I can see how that sort of thing is going to be huge for some and worthless for others.
If Bioware/EA offered an on-line service that was truely competitive with Steam, I would use it. They don't. Thus, I don't see why it is in Bioware/EA's interests to go out of their way to crap on a fairly significant group of potential customers. The deal on offer for Steam users is clearly inferior. I may be a fan a DA, but I'm not an EA tool.
I'm not refusing to buy the game; I'm refusing to buy now. The current offer is clearly not in my best interest, but I'm sure something better will come to those with the patience to wait. I'll wait for the Ultimate Edition or for Bioware/EA to come to their senses. I still get to play the game, and I save a lot of money.

We are pleased to reveal new bonus content for players who purchase Dragon Age II.
The Black Emporium - Hidden below Kirkwall is the Black Emporium. This mysterious location contains many strange and powerful magics and items. By visiting the Black Emporium, players will be able to use the Mirror of Transformation and change their appearance. They'll be able to find exclusive magic and and crafting stores. And they'll find a whistle allowing them to summon a powerful Mabari Hound in battle.
The Lion of Orlais - A mighty shield that comes with two rune slots as well as granting the player greater health and the ability to earn more XP.
Fadeshear - A powerful sword that actually improves as the player gasins levels. It also does extra damage versus demons and the undead.
*Snip*
I proposed a (singing) sword that leveled with you in a different thread
Also wanted to mention that my last ounce of frustration about payment methods is gone too. The Dutch gameshops came through at the last moment. Got an email in the beginning of January, so the Signature Edition is available with our pay-card system too.
Although me and the other forum members who complained (with information though) probably had nothing to do with this, it's still settled. Even the 1% chance that you guys looked at the thread gives me hope.
The Signature Edition is becoming quite the bomb with all this stuff

We must join together and inform bioware that dragon age II would be SOO much better if they made this game co-op. I mean its easily proven good games that add co-op increase sales. I dont understand why they wouldnt add it in! I love dragon age. I played it several times. It did get boring and i thought it would be so much fun to play with friends. The system in borderlands was perfect. Bring you charector over and help eachother on quests! I know at least 20 people that would buy the second game if only it was co-op. I mean i say to the people that dont like co-op just dont inv. friends to your game. I mean just because it says its co-op doesnt mean you have to play with someone! Look at borderlands again only reason why it was so great was because you could play with friends over and over again. Try playing that game over and over agian by yourself and tell me how boring it is!! Please everyone try to erge bioware to make the game co-op!! : )
