Thank you very much for this update!  If the PC/Mac combo is on the disk, I'll probably buy the boxed edition.  BTW, I assume the signature edition was something you needed to get a long time ago?

That's a good move, it pretty much ensures that the price for mac version of DAII stays at market levels and does not form it's own "independent" market, where a whole lot of different prices appear (usually unfavorable for people who want to buy it).

Yes, it should run it.  As long as your processor is above 1.86 GHz.
Just be sure to check that the graphics are not set too high, that will drag down performance fast.

I'm holding off ordering the game until shortly before release. That way I have a fair chance of knowing exactly what versions will be available.



If I had to buy today I would probably buy the physical disc. If I had a choice it would be steam (I like how they take care of updating the game and keeping saves). But macgametree is still a posibililty (should it become clear that you can download the win version as well).

I'll probably get the physical disc in case I ever get a good gaming PC. Too bad Origins didn't come like this. Hope this sets a precedent though.

Well, no news about Mac in the chat, but I was happy with all the gameplay stuff.

I think where we are at is the most we will get regarding information. So hold out until March 8th guys!



@Crimea: Why would I get the SE for PC if I don't have one good enough in the hope it would be Mac compatible? We had no idea that was coming until Fernando Melo made that comment.

There wasn't any mention of the PC in the entire livechat except to mention that DA2 has gone gold for ALL systems. PC (now) = MAC and Windows

So it was announced last Thursday that the PC version will ship with PC and Mac both on the same disc. So people like me who pre-ordered the XBox version to get the Signature Edition upgrade are screwed since we didn't know it would release for Mac simultaneously.



It's great it's available for Mac, but I'll lose content if I exchange it. It sucks.

The retail box will indeed include Mac. This was a *very* close call, whether it would pass in time to make it for the disc manufacture cut off - hence we were unable to confirm it earlier. My apologies for that.



Baby steps for us - we're very happy to have Mac available on day 1 now. Next time, we'll improve again

I keep my question about DA2 for Mac on Steam...

What is the big deal? Since there is a Mac version made, why not release it on Steam? There is nothing to be actually made, just put it there to be purchased and downloaded.
