And I see that it already has, in the demo faq, and the answer is "Sorry but no."

The retail box will indeed include Mac. This was a *very* close call, whether it would pass in time to make it for the disc manufacture cut off - hence we were unable to confirm it earlier. My apologies for that.
Baby steps for us - we're very happy to have Mac available on day 1 now. Next time, we'll improve again
Will that be for the signature edition too? Amazon being slow and saying its still PC/Windows only

I'm 99% sure that it will be in the Sig edition. Despite his apologies (and I totally get it) I'm still a little ticked off that I could've gotten the sig edition.

Fernando already spoke about this the DD version only works with their corresponding version so the PC version doesn't woork with the Mac and vice versa. You have to look for Mac DD version.

Retail disc comes with both PC and Mac - normal or signature.
Digi versions however are separate products - buying mac digi from gametree (for ex) gets only mac, and similarly buying PC from EA store, Steam or other 3rd party is only PC.
Edit: To be clear, looking into it - but meanwhile that is the current state as of this post.

and the question now is why don't the demo work for mac?
I'm guessing because the Mac version is a port rather than one of several build targets in head rev, hence building a demo for Mac is non-trivial and would take extra time.

Will the Mac version be on Steam? the Mac version of Origins hasn't made it there yet....
my guess is no. Steam....is just steam, you can't ask for too much out of it, although it makes things REALLY convenient

2.7GHz dual-core
Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz
500GB 5400-rpm1
Intel HD Graphics 3000
This is the newest generation of the MBP.
My question is, I know this kind of macbook pro can run Dragon Age 2, but what is the performance? Can I run the game all on the highest settings available?
Because if it can, day 1.

Any ideas if purchasing Mac version will purchase the PC as well? the way it works with DAO? And is there a way to find it out (for example email to bioware)?
The key that comes with one will work with the other. At leat thats the way it worked for Red Alert 3. You just need a Mac install disc.
