Hey Guys.... me here...:).... Im recently having some issues with ME 1, as the title says, it lags on the start up cinematics and at the menu... after a bit it gets fixed but it didnt happened before...

I had an nVidia 9800GT with 512MB... but it burned out... however it worked great with this one.... so i changed it for a GTS 450 EVGA with 1GB... but it now lags on the menu... stops lagging and i can play so far (havent exited the normandy yet, but in the normandy is fine so far)... you should know that before i posted this i had 260.60 v of the driver and it was the same, but when i entered the game the textures were popping blue.... i updated to 260.99 and the textures got fixed but the menu lagg is still there...

My Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00GHz
Ram: 4GB
Win 7 64-Bits
EVGA nVidia GTS 450 1GB

So... Any ideas?....

You guys should now that i searched a bit and didnt found a solution (i dont PowerDVD)...

Did you re-run the mass effect configuration utility after you swapped your GPU over?

Try getting a driver revision thats between the 2. Maybe the 260.89 revision.

O Well... :)... Thanks... :D.... Btw, does it only lagg for you on Main menu or at some time it started InGame too?... (The lagg might be that there is way too much memory and the game doesnt handles it correctly?...)

I have the same problem with GTX275. I had the same problem with 9800gtx+ before I bought my actual card. I guess it's just a game bug.

I'm still waiting for gtx560

Hey Guys... Again,,,, :)... Sorry i double posted but i wasnt sure if i should make another post for the same thing... So.... The problem now is that the game laggs on most cutscenes... as well as some times during dialogs... (like when you talk to joker on the normandy) or some others... also... the textures seem off (they are blue.. but now in lots of places)... So i was wondering if anyone has an idea for that?.. its really getting annoying since it kinda ruins the inmerssion i used to have...

Have you tried turning Vsync off?

I get the best results visually on the GTS450 with Film Grain off, Motion Blur off, and using the Linear Texture Filtering. I have Particles set to High and Textures set to Ultra High.

It still stutters running about in some places, and in some dialogs. Once in awhile the game will crash during a dialog too. It doesn't ever lag during combat though.

Turning off Vsync might help with lag in the menu if the issue happens again. It helped a little with the screen FPS stuttering I experience on my system, I never had this issue though.

I dont Have Blur nor Film Grain as they annoy me (and in some game like L4D produce me Headaches) but i have Particles Hight, Texture Ultra Hight and Filtering Anisotropic.... also VSync and Dinamic Shadows On... i will try your config and report back... However i have never crashed... Only the Blue Textures On the Seats of The Normandy and some other stuff... as well as the lagg on certain Dialogs and Cutscenes...
