In anyform of Co-Op as a renegade character, i DEMAND the right to backhand my paragon co op freind when he does nice stuff.

Ahaha Yes a **** slap button!

*sigh* As tired as I am about seeing these multi-threads being optimistic wouldn't hurt too much I suppose. I'm with Janie on this topic, I like her (I'm guessing her ) take on what would make a MP plausible. IF there is no possible way to keep a MP out of ME3 then I'd support the DLC or Expansion MP idea.

But that being said I'd rather not see an MP ruin another amazing SP game.

Awesome of the OP to include a Fift Element clip for some reason.

Anyway, yeah crashing a Mako into the enemy base and unload krogans sounds like great fun. If BioWare thinks this will make a overall better game they should give it a shot.

Mass Effect is a single-player game.

Mass Effect is a game about Shepard facing the greatest threat darkening our skies.

Period.

I'd like it to have a hardcore mode. When I point a rifle at someone and pull the trigger I want them to die. I really hate the "whittling down of hit points" mechanic.

The biggest potential problem with ME multiplayer is 'how do you use your powers.'

I mean, I know I'm not the only person who spams the 'bring up wheel, stop time, pick out target, shoot.' Which, while fine (if a little cheap) as a single player, would get Bloody Annoying if I had to wait whenever anyone else did the same. Especially since Shepard can get more powers than can be hot-keyed on the 360.

About the only compromise I could see is if one person was Shepard, and the other person was a squaddie with only hot-key power usage who just has to take it.

Good point Dean, pausing doesn't work well with multi player so that would probably have to go. On the other hand that would add a challenge; you got to react fast to survive. If this would make the game better overall I can't say.

The Multiplayer is that as you are playing people from all over the world can make fun of how badly you are doing. It's like being in the room with your jerkass friends, but you're paying for it :o

I could live with drop in couch co-op for the consoles so a second player could be a squadmate. But can you imagine the agony of playing a Soldier's wingman? Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow andshootingfastagainand Sloooooooooooooooooooooooow andstartingtouseapowerand Sloooooooooooooooooow...

I would like dream multiplayer. That way when I wake up, it won't be real.

If multiplayer was co op during the story I would like that.

How about they do a multiplayer game a few years from now so that it doesn't have any effect on this series?

I'm for Mass Effect related multiplayer game, but in ME3? Hell no!

Co-Op in ME3 maybe if your friends are only controlling squadmates and have no impact of my story.

I'd like something simple: the ability to play as another players' squadmate in combat (and choose your loadout, etc.). They make the decisions in the story, you get to see how someone else makes their choices.

That only scratches the surface of the issues. Soldier literally slows down time and an Infiltrator is almost in constant cloak. Not the most idealistic multiplayer powers if the objective is fair gameplay. Imagine if in Halo you have active camo for virtually the entire game and wielded a sniper rifle. You would clean up the map with the minimalist of efforts.
