In the combat screenshots, the avatars showing health bars seem a bit too much in the way? There seems to be a lot of space for it to move to the edge.
I'm sure the modding community will take care of that. I quite like the old design with the health and willpower/stamina curving around the portrait.
Where? I'm currently playing DA:O and was not aware of this option. Where on the item screen is it located?
Junk? If you're playing on the console, you can select to tranfer any item into the Junk category, and you can sell it all off at once next time you're at a merchant. The game doesn't automatically sift things into Junk for you, however.
Thanks. I'm playing on PC so hopefully a similar option is also there.

Nice screenshots - it's looking pretty good to me. I'm interested in the "day" map of Kirkwall. It seems to imply that we might get to see the city and/or other areas at night.
There are Night versions of the Kirkwall zones. The Kirkwall - Day map had options to access two other world maps, Kirkwall - Night, and the Free Marches. I believe it is confirmed that different people will be active in Kirkwall at Day and at Night.

Thanks for the additional info - sounds interesting to me (maybe I'll skulk around as a rogue Hawke at night, hah).

Junk was only on consoles. PC doesn't have this option, for some reason. Since the screens are of the console version, thats no confirmation PC will be getting that feature this time around either.

When are we going to see real PS3 pics? I'd like to know what the product I might be buying looks like before I buy it.
The pictures published by IGN is from the XBox version so you can expect the PS3 version to look pretty much like that, only difference being that the PS3 colors are not quite as vibrant as on XBox.

Well that blows. And has no one made a mod to add such a feature on PC?

That sounds like a good assessment. Overall, the new system looks awesome, I think.
I just have one gripe about it; there seems to be very few points in total to spend, which concerns me because it might mean we'll wind wind up having every talent/spell by the endgame, which would make the choice of which talents/spells to pick redundant in the long run. Of course, the level cap might be lower to counter this, or you may not receive talent/spell points every time you level up, who knows?
judging by this pic, i think that are more upgrades in the skill trees that we just can't see right now in the "mage trees" picture
picture clipped
And regarding the level cap: It's 50.
Ability upgrades are in fact hidden on the all-trees view, to unclutter the display. Don't worry, there's lots of things to spend your points on. While this is still subject to balance and tuning until final release, I believe that you're nowhere near having every ability in a full playthrough.
O.o Is that REALLY the level cap? 50? I was expecting something more like 25, but 50?

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that now there's more material out there. Before it was basically "trust us."

Presumably its too give them room for DLC and expansions without having to increase the cap later.
