McDonald's food, in the UK at least, hasn't made me ill. It does, however, make me feel full and even a little bloated (And that's just a hamburger and medium fries), and by God, how it sits in your stomach and feels like it's sticking in your throat - It's just... Not worth it.

this. But also... well.... it doesnt hang around for long

I seem to recall that might be related to its weird longevity without the aid of refridgeration: the absence of bacteria (as in the good as well as the bad) can make it incredibly difficult to digest and consequently makes you feel rather unpleasant.

Good thing I never eat anything except unprocessed, organic food. I have not been sick once in my entire life. My heart rate is 55, my blood pressure is 115/60, and my total blood cholesterol is only 110.

In other words I am the pinnacle of good health.

Taste and smell are damn near the same sense. If you're hungry and you pick up food that suddenly makes you not so hungry, chances are your nose is picking up that there is something in the food you should probably not eat.

McDonalds and all fast food for that matter is food for poor people.  Even homeless people eat that crap so of course it's going to make you sick.

If you have the money to play games you can probably afford real, non-ghetto food.

Yeah, it hasn't stopped me from calling in sick though!  I have great sounding "fake cold" that's going to come in handy when Dragon Age II comes out!

Difference being, I don't eat food that lacks taste that is to my liking. No food makes me sick if it tastes good and is prepared properly. Undercooked ham is the only thing that has ever made me sick (was in the hospital with food poisoning for 3 days). Aside from that and the occasional, usual sickness that one simply can't avoid no matter how healthy you are, I've never been sick and I eat whatever I want :).

Really? Me too. What a coincidence. It's good people have their priorities in the right place.

Heh just be glad it wasn't the McD's near my school you were eating at. At 5 in the morning there was an armed robbery that ended up with SWAT getting called out. At 7:30 some guy ate there, then stabbed a little girl on the way out. >.> That McD's was on some sort of crazy that day. And I live in an overall really nice city. Craaaaaaazy.

Today for lunch I decided to go to McDonald's and grab a bite to eat.  I was weird because during the time I was eating it I felt sick.  I had to force myself to eat the last bite of my burger before I was done.  I was weird because I had a similar experience 3 months ago at Taco Bell where I could have sworn that the meat didn't taste like it used to.  Lately my taste for fast food has become lacking lately.  Anybody with a similar experience?

Well being a certified first responder my medical prognosis is that you probably have another 42 hrs to live. It sounds like you have a severe case of food contamination. Either the meat was not cooked to temperature or left in the danger zone, and microscopic bacteria and viruses have tainted the meat. Sorry mate.

All joking aside, it could just be bad meat or it wasn't handled properly. In either case, if you feel very sick I would head to the doctor. Also it is possible that you are developing a allergic reaction to a ingredient(s) in said Taco and Burger, which would mean if you get another similar experience you might want to have it get looked into.

I don't get it?  Oh wait nevermind.  You're trying to say that a healthy lifestyle is pointless since spontaneous things like getting hit by a truck could kill us at any moment.  Gotcha.

It's not just about living to a certain age, it's about making the time you live as fullfilling as possible.  Being physically active not only makes me feel good but it gives me the mental and physical energy I need to get through the day and be productive with other important activities as well.

The fact that I'll likely live to 115 or more is just a bonus.

Your 'likelihood' is just about the same for everyone regardless of your "supreme" diet/lifestyle. Do not test the very nature of life as it's unpredictable and yet very linear.

In any case, when any of us reach around 90 years, we are not *fully fucntioning* which could be a curse in itself.

Oil is hard to digest in the body period. How some people can digest it on a daily basis I will never understand. A lot of food I've eatin including Mcdonalds has made me sick because there are to many fatty oils. I can understand eating it once in a blue moon, but all the time is just plain, eck. Most of the time its the oil in your body from the McDonalds fry food which is making you groggy, because your having a hard time digesting it. Blame it on the oils and the deep fry. holla

Dairy Queen has the best burgers. Dairy Queen has the best ice cream. Dairy Queen has the best french fries.

In summation, Dairy Queen needs your soul. Give it to them.

You know who has the best Burgers? Fuddruckers. Greasy as hell, but delicious.

@OP - You may wish to have a medical check-up on your gall bladder, and digestive organs just in case. Ounce of prevention and all that....

If you really want to increase the odds of living an extended life then you need to live with someone other than yourself with whom you have a relationship (spouse, family member or lover) and have frequent sex on a regular basis.

Celibate single men living by themselves may as well live on Twinkies and cigarettes for all the good lifestyle will do.

Just not your family member. That's sort of frowned on in some parts...
