Karl Urban has my vote, he was awesome as Bones, but I'd still rather have a movie of a young TIM that explores his life and his life changing experiences, IMHO.PoliteAssasin wrote...

The Rock as Shepard? Oh dear God no, that would "Doom" :whistle:the movie to failure.
Now hold up, Doom wasn't that bad - although I never played the games so.... Speaking of which, Karl Urban would make a good shepard...

Edit: Adding link
The movie did a good service to people who played the game. Well, beside the whole it wasnt actual hell thing. But the main actor, not the rock, looked like the PC in the game.
I jumped with joy when the rock said "that is a big ****ing gun" when he saw the BFG.
Gets my vote too as he can actually act. Dwayne can act better than most of the "action" stars, but I can't see him as Shepard. Urban is playing Judge Dredd, so he'll be renegading the screen pretty soon anyway.

I would suggest Christian Bale. He can act and he was great as Batman. he also has a superficial resemblance to cannon Shepard.

And Milla Jovovich? as Kelly Chambers and Doc Chakwas?
Ole Sylvester Stallone is getting up there in age, I'm not sure he'd be patient enough to wait for the costume to be put on him.
I'm not sure they'd be-able to afford the price tag some of those actor's demand but it's a very good idea non the less!
I always thought Rhona Mitra might make a interesting Samara BTW. Course I think she's on a TV show now.

But OP, I want whatever you were smoking when you thought that was actually anywhere remotely near the tiniest iota of a good cast list. It must be some potent stash. I am jealous.

First, The Rock as Shepard. That's just beyond my daily dose of fail ridiculous.
Second, so many people seem to think that they're going to get the biggest names in hollywood to do every single character in the movie. It's rare for a summer blockbuster to even do that, but you think that for a video game movie that they don't have unlimited funds for they're willing to do that?? Oookkk......
We should hope they do something like Battlestar Galactica.
Get very talented actors that aren't necessarily that famous yet. That way, you have lower costs, good acting value, and you also 'create' the characters in the movie, instead of just making a character about the actor.
For example, if they found a good but uknwon actor to do Liara, then it would be about Liara. If instead they get Jessica Alba (who sucks imo, sells her looks not her acting) it won't be about Liara anymore, it will be about Jessica Alba.
I hope that came across clearly.
