LOL at two things:

First, The Rock as Shepard. That's just beyond my daily dose of fail ridiculous.

Second, so many people seem to think....

....

It doesn’t matter what you think!!

LMAO!!!!!!!

(To Saren) "I'm gonna take this conduit, shine it up real nice, turn that sum**** sideways, and stick it straight up your candy ass!"

I don't want Shepard to be in the movie, though. Like...at all.

Anyone that thinks the movie should be about Shepard, should get in a car, drive up Know Your Role Boulevard, take a left onto Jabroni Drive and park themselves up in the Smackdown Hotel!

Even IF it was about Shepard, apart from Seth Green, that cast list is complete FAIL as other people have pointed out.

If Mordin were in the movie, it'd have to be Michael Beattie doing the voice, same pretty much all the aliens and their respective VAs and of course, only person who could pull off Zaeed Messani properly is Robin Sachs. Keith David as Anderson, Lance Henriksen as Hackett, Yvonne Strahovski as Miranda, Raphael Sbarge as Kaiden to name but a few of the human characters whose VAs could easily do their respective roles

Have you played the game at all xAlch3mIstx? Those are appalling choice. "The Rock" has not made an acting appearance that is worthy of the word "acting" to date.

"the rock" is not a good choice for shepard - you need someone with charisma that can pull off both the good/bad natures equally. the film *should* be about shepard - ideally a retelling of the trilogy either in one film (an amalgam of the games) or one film a game - Shepard is the window into the universe and the most recognisable figure within it - not to have him would detract immensely from the experience and - more importantly - likelihood of both success and getting made.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson isn't a bad choice... so long as you get a good director, and a good scriptwriter

i mean "DOOM" blew chunks, The Rock was actually the best part of that movie just because of how campy he was

plus Sheperd is already kind of a "i'm the man" type before he even became a Spectre, even more so in ME2

too bad a movie wouldn't get femshep tho

Note that this is a vote for him, but Vin Deisel would make a better Shepard than Dwayne Johnson.

Vin Deisel?!?!  You've got to be kidding?!?!  He's TERRIBLE!  Deisel as Shepard = Instant B Movie.

This list is made of fail. So, it seems that the OP wants 2 leading characters to be played by 1 actor? Seriously?

And also, Dwayne Johnson is a terrible actor.

I support Dwayne Johnson for the role as Commander Shepard if and only if he gives Harbinger/Saren a rock bottom or people's elbow at some point...

Your welcome :D

@Jebel Krong, sorry but I disagree with you 100% completely and think your statement is wrong on so many levels.

Firstly, whilst the current trio of stories are Shepard's Story, the Mass Effect franchise doesn't just revolve around Shepard. You also seem to forget that despite marketing of Sheploo, IIRC from the stats we've been shown so far, a lot more people tend to use custom Sheps, not only that but Female Sheps too. So having someone who could resemble Sheploo that has acting skills wouldn't be 'recognisable' as Shepard to a fair number of people because of this and would likely mean they won't go see the movie. Which would be a very bad move on Bioware/Film Producer/Directors part because the key audience first and foremost would be fans of the franchise.

As pointed out earlier, ME/ME2/ME3 is Shepard's Story and Bioware has already stated they plan on continuing AFTER that and that ME3 is the END of Shepard's Story thus therefore it would be silly for Mass Effect movie to have Shepard in it. Mentioned maybe but not in it. Has Shepard been in any of the books/comics (other than the upcoming interactive one), nope.

Basically put...
Shepard =/= Mass Effect Franchise

Aside from Seth Green, these casting choices are horrible.

Only he could play Joker.  B)

I think they could pull some of those from the cast of the game though.  The girl who does the voice and is the face of Miranda for example, and Martin Sheen as TIM.  EDI wouldn't be hard to pull off.

As far as the "Rock" playing Shepard....HELL NO!

id rather have an up and commer trying to prove himself, rather then a rehash of an actor who already has a few hero roles like the rock. if already got my fill of what the rock has to offer.

id rather see an ACTOR play shepard, not a wrestler. honeslty id rather hae someone ive never heard of before playing shepard. it be alot easier for my immersion factor watching the ME movie and not thinking "no, i dont smell what the rock is cookin."

Brad Pitt as Thane? Shaun Connery as TIM? Keanu I-know-kung-fu Reaves as Garrus?

As much as I love Dwayne Johnson, he's no good for Shepard. He's simply too big. Have you seen the teaser trailer for Fast & Furious 5? He's massive!

And no Sam Worthington for Shepard. He simply can't get rid of that Aussie accent. It comes through a lot in his movies. And no Shane West boy-men. Even with facial hair, that dude looks like he's 16.

First of all, I would like to point out that Martin Scheen is the only sensible person to cast as TIM as he is a venerable actor and of course already played TIM in the game. But as to Dwayne Johnson as Shepard...
