Having sexy casual cloths is okey in my opinion. How ever, having them in combat situation isn't really that good. It's more realistic if people use right gear in right situation. So, I support situation based cloths.
Think same way here.

the sexuality in ME2 was at the level of two 10 year old boys snickering in the corner because they just heard the word "boobies"
Oh so when ME1 lets you oggle strippers and have meaningless sex with Asari hookers its in context. I'm not complaining about the presence or existence of those characters but the interactivity is clearly meant to titilliate.
Listen, I'm not saying ME2 is guiltless, I don't like the stripper oggling or Samara's cleavage or the DAT ASS shot but ME1 wasn't any more innocent in this regard, they both have moments where the sexuality is juvenile.
Yeah, I think I agree with you - although the strip joints don't bother me in either game because that's what they're kinda like in real life. What gets me is when they seem to be looking for any excuse to shoehorn sex into the game where it is out of place or in the case of Samara almost contrary to her backstory. When they do these things it doesn't come off as sexy it comes off as silly pre-teen giggling.

I guess as others have said, situational clothing is best. If they do that, I'll be shocked though.

There's things in the game for everyone. Just because you don't appreciate Miranda's backside doesn't mean someone else doesn't. Calling it juvenile is pretty judgmental, especially if you don't consider the context. Some of them aren't blatant, its just that Miranda turns around. Some of them are blatant, like when she bends over. And yet... if you pay attention to Miranda, she's supposed to be that way. Why? She's the "perfect woman" - an operative. She's gonna use her looks as a weapon.
Likewise, Samara. Asari Justicar. They are a sensual people, let's face it. It makes sense that the paragon of Asari Culture looks both deadly and "sexy" (though I'd argue that Samara's face is just meh... but I'm not a fan of Asari) - it just makes sense.
Jack? The tats I get, the bald I get, and the spare clothing I get. She's a convict, a crazy woman, a homicidal ****, and let's face it... not the best self esteem. What I'd like to know is how she gets makeup/lipstick when she's being held in cryo for all that time lol.
If you notice, the "sexuality" makes sense. We don't see Tali flaunting it. Hell, even Samara, with her boobs, doesn't "flaunt" it, they just "are." Hell, even in ME1 with the Matriarch. Yeah. Big rack. And? Who gives a crap? If anything, she looks more intimidating because of it, I think if she was fully covered up, she'd look less villainy.
Skin is skin. People need to grow up, and appreciate that the human body is not taboo. Is it annoying when people giggle like 5 year olds when they see a boob? Sure. But its also annoying (to me at least) at people being offended at them showing what every single person has. Private parts are only called private parts because someone decided they had a mandate to tell people what's decent/indecent.
Miranda uses her sensuality as a weapon, and at the same time, an ass is just another body part. Who cares if they show it?

1. The squad mates were never exposed to the vacuum of space.(Collector ship was just that a ship, Collector base was still a space station of sorts)
2.Just because there wasn't adequate oxygen in a particular location, doesn't make the air toxic to the skin or body.
3. You hardly ever see Asari in armour (except the Asari spectre), even the Asari commandoes from ME1 didn't have armour on. And Jack, .. well you actually think armour fits with her personality.
4. Miranda's outfit .....well, ....well would you look at the time. :innocent:

1. Heretic Station ("Geth require neither"), not sure about the infected VI space station
2. A few UNC missions; like the Geth atmospheric device planet or the Blood Pack mining planet.

Because she is not stupid enough to use her sensuality as a weapon against those on whom it is obviously not going to work?
Think about it this way. A PC is attracted to Miranda. She realizes the allure she has for you. The camera lingers lovingly on the lavish contours of her body probably implying that she is showing off her physical perfection for that PC. That showcases both the fact that Miranda is a smecks BOMB and the fact that she knows when to use it.
In the case of a PC romancing someone else, especially a female PC romancing a dude, it seems kind of baffling that she would bend over and stuff for you. All it makes me think is not that Miranda uses smecks as a weapon but the Bioware team liked what they did with Miranda SO MUCH that they wanted everyone to see it whether it made sense or not. Which is fine I suppose. I have not objected to it, I have not even complained about it, all I have stated is that I thought it was weird that a woman would behave like that with everybody no matter how hot she is.
But hey, their call, their game.

Perhaps "Ass" and "Rack" could be bonus powers in ME3 and we could level them up.

But I don't like how some characters walk around with naked boobs or without helmets in outer space or in the atmosphere of a brown dwarf or the hazardous environment of some worlds, that's just ridiculous.
Besides, I actually find many of the bodysuit / armor outfits that are worn by ME1 characters and Shepard to be pretty sexy already. The devs could add some more sexyness to those without revealing skin easily imo.
So I hope they do that in ME3.

I don't know what more I could add: The outfits were a good touch! And it some ways, gameplay wise, it was a good idea. We had less time to get to know each individual squadmember in ME2, because there were so many of them, that they each need to sortof, "get the introductions out of the way," by using a visual introduction to give you a lot of information about the character, even before you had your first conversation with them.
But... The same thing could be done by designing two appearences: a casual, on ship appearance, and a unique armor set for combat situations. There isn't any need for everyone to look exactly the same in armor: obviously Thane is probably going to wear armor that looks even lighter than the standard light armor. And think about it, Zaeed has some pretty unique looking armor. Even if they just modified design elements from the various N7 pieces and slapped em together to give each squaddie a unique look, I would've been happy.
Also, now that we aren't given our squaddies new armor to put on, you can keep characterizing them/differentiating them with colors. Remember Ash's iconic white/pink armor that you replaced right away in ME1? Well now it's back---I mean, they even did this in ME2 by putting her back in her armor.
What's more, some characters have a casual outfit already, i.e. Garrus.
I understand that designing a casual and a battle look is twice as much work, but that hardly seems like an excuse for returning squadmates in ME3. The casual outfit is already designed. Just whip up one more appearance for each character where they look a bit harder to kill.

Then again, maybe I'm just weird. I find women wearing proper, realistic armour as more sexy than those stupid bikini outfits, and like strong women.

The OPs name is Sten, are you going to argue with Sten?
