I am playing on a Vista 64 bit pc and the game randomly minimizes itself every few minutes. I only noticed this after applying patch 1.01. Is anyone else having this difficulty?
I tried to use the Customer Support page to report the problem but the email link does not seem to be working.

I had this problem before installing the patch, and it remains after installing it.
So patch doesn'tcause this.
I also have the latest Nvidia drivers so outdated gfx drives can be ruled out too I suppose.
I have I sneaking suspicion it has to do with that the game actually wn't us to be looged on while playing, and that it at some times seek contact with some server and minimize itself when it fails. I 'm playing logged off - can't see a single reason to play logged on (DLC isnt _that_ important to me).

I saw an earlier post about this, in which the poster claimed that AVG was the problem

I am playing with several pieces of DLC so I guess logging off won't work. Did that eliminate the minimizing for you Meggor?
Supervexi, what is AVG?

AVG is an antivirus application and one of its recent updates has the side effect you are suffering.

I can confirm, had same issue, uninstalled AVG 9 and no problems since then. Too bad, I liked AVG Free, used it for at least 2 years

I think AVG is causing issues for other apps as well and that they are currently working on it. So they may release a compatible version at some poitn. Also, I believe I read you can add it to the exceptions list and that also fixes it. Might be worth a try if you really like AVG

Word to the wise folks. If you do uninstall AVG 9.0, don't do what I did and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials if you're running Zone Alarm free firewall. That's a sure fire way to have Vista lock up on start up >.<

I just found this thread over at AVG:
http://forums.avg.co...id=34721&type=0
It mentions a lot of people having this problem. Evidently, uninstalling AVG 9 (that was upgraded from 8.5) and then doing a fresh install of AVG 9 seems to work for people. It looks like they didn't clean out the 8.5 closets when 9 moved in.
