I can't believe Im falling victim to making one of these threads (wich I told myself i wouldn't do) but Im sick of people going on about ME3 being ruined if MP is implemented. It's not that everyone hates the idea or doesn't want the MP. the real reason is that you're afraid that it will ruin the SP campaign wich I won't lie by saying it won't because the possibility does exist for ME3 to be ruined by it, but there is also the chance that it will be strenghten by it.

Who wouldn't want to play as they're own Shepard in a Gears of War style deathmatch against Collectors and Husks?

I understand these fears but maybe, just maybe, everyone is overreacting on the issue. If BW is truly considering a MP component, then don't you think they know better then us? They haven't let us down so far so why would they now? I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt instead of jumping down the throat of every person who
says MP may be good.

My suggestion is to give BW the chance to at least show how it would work if they do plan to incorporate MP in ME3. Attacking every MP thread is not the answear, since nobody (including BW) cares what a bunch of swearing fans say, and as far as it goes, that is the only thing I've seen in the MP threads.

So what do you say, will you at least give multiplayer a chance if Bioware can demostrate that it will not ruin the ME3 single player campaign?


(Something tells me this thread is going to get ugly)


I want multiplayer in ME3 as way to show off my Shepard and spend ME in case a 4th isn't made. Is that too much to ask?

It's just so simple...it's a single-player Game!

Nope the die hard fans arnt the ones saying this.   It will be the noobs shouting down their mics and through our PCs and Consoles destroying 3 games worth of Mass Effect experience!!

They can make all the multiplayer they want after ME3 as far as I'm concerned.

How long have you been on the boards pwner? Do realize how many times the term 'lack of resources' is cited by the devs? Why don't you list some games that had a 30+ hr campaign like ME2 did, as much voice acting as ME2 had, and great multiplayer to boot. Then maybe we'll be convinced.

This basically goes under my complaint list of: 'lets make all games exactly alike.'

ME3 can be the first. Nothing is impossible you know. The status quo so far is to choose only one of the two instead of breaking the chains and actually making something work.

The first two games were SP's why should ME3 have a MP. The simple fact is that if the release is holiday this year and the more time they spend on a MP the less time there will be for the SP. Also there are plenty of people here who had said that think the SP will suffer from an added MP. I haven't seen a game that can be both a great SP and MP game. One or the other will suffer and don't you want the last installment of the ME series to be the best it can be and it is not possible to do that while adding a new game mode.

Yes, it's exaclty this the reason. Mass Effect until now was one of few singleplayer-only masterpieces of videogame done in the last years. I wanna all the resources focused on continue along this way, and not mutilating the story just for a crappy multiplayer opportunity. I don't hate MP, but there's anyone who really belivie that ME NEEDS MP to be awesome? Then, probably, he/she didn't understood nothing of the game.
