I take Miranda in every mission, the 2nd squadmate depends who I'm going to face. I personally don't put point in her Slam (except the bonus point given when you do her loyalty mission. That way I can maximise Warp, Overload & Cerberus Leader for the extra damage. Also give her the Locust SMG (easily one the best weapon in the game) and she's a freaking menace.
