Yes, a new thread to showcase your characters, but with an idea - it came to me after reading about the mirror item in DA2 that let's you change your character face ingame. What if your character  aged?

Post in this thread your characters with their current look, and with pics of how they will evolve through time.

As an example and concept pic, here is my idea of how my Cousland would evolve.

Anyone interested to try to put their characters through the wheel of time? Will your warden get wrinkles, new scars, new haircuts, will they turn from innocent looking to evil? Just imagine!

What lenght of time to consider? As you wish... from recruitment to the Calling, or simply from origin story to the end of Awakening or witch hunt, the choice is yours.

Looking forward to see your creations! If there are enough entries, maybe I'll turn this into a contest of some sort.

Have fun!

Nice idea. I had a similar idea of "darkside transitions" like in KotoR for my blood mage character. I understand such a feature doesn't make sense for having it in DA as a game given that its about shades of grey and has no overall morality meter, but I'm doing it for RP reasons for my own character as she delves furthers into blood magic and the dark arts... So her hair and eyes will turn red, her skin will turn pale, she'll get tattoos, etc...

Im still working on it, I made her with the CC so I have to manually edit values in the toolset to change the morph, I actually am able to do everything I want to using the toolset to edit the morph. Just a matter of getting the look right.

@ZeRoToXiN : I also used the character creator to do this (I don't have the toolset). Nice to know there are others interested! Can't wait to see what you come up to!

so interesting! ^^

but can we draw it or only use character creator/toolset?

Or should we open a new thread in the Community Creation for drawings?

Very nice idea!! I don't suppose creating another thread is necessary, use the toolset, CC or your pencils/photoshop, and let us see your wardens ^_^

One thing I liked from Knights of theOld Republic that wasn't in Dragon Age was “darkside transitions”
- as a character went further into the dark side, their appearance would also correspondingly change. I understand that the idea doesn't for for the story and the nature of choices in DA. But I decided to
do it myself for my new blood mage, Mariya. As I progress in thegame, I will change her morph accordingly. Since I have a day off school, I even decided to write up a little story and put an image together – at least I got some image editing practice. I really went wild with this one...

Mariya was trapped in the Circle Tower ever since her youth. Once she was able to leave for the Grey
Wardens, she set forth on her journey to rebuild the Grey Wardens and save Ferelden from the blight, but to become the most powerful of mages, never to be commanded by anyone ever again. As she delvesdeeper into the dark arts, her appearance mirrors her transformation...

1. Innocence – Trapped, bitter,lonely... A sad girl in a cruel stone prison.
2. Freedom – Free of the control of the Circle and Chantry, she can indulge in the forbidden magics...
3. Defiance – Deals with demons light the fires of hatred – victory by any means necessary.
4. Corruption – My vengeance is justice, and justice shall be done!
5. Fallen – The world shall fear me, and even the darkspawn will tremble before my might!
6. Redemption – Set aside the worksof darkness, and put on the armor of light. The salvation of this
world lies not in blood and destruction... Not chaos, but kindness...
There is hope yet...

After her experience on the mountain, fighting the High Dragon, passing the tests of the Gauntlet, andtouching Andraste's ashes, she witnesses the truth of the Maker andthe error of her ways. She gives up her blood magic and now will train in the way of the Arcane Warrior – saving the land, so thatshe may save herself...(In the last image, she wears a tattoo under her eye, to always remember her two darkest mistakes. Her hairis also darker and her eyes are a deeper blue than they originally were before – to represent her becoming deeper and her remaining darkness.)

Very impressive ZeRoToXiN , I really like how you marked her mental evolution on her face. The same warden, but going little by little on the road of destruction and corruption (and she somehow managed to remain quite beautiful all the way) Funny thing is that you changed her hair color from black to red, red as blood? I would have done the opposite, from lively red to dark night hair :) And I love your choice all the more for that.

Thank you for sharing, it's really an interesting transformation. I cannot choose my favorite between corruption and redemption. One again, great design(s) !

Techwench, welcome into the thread!! And you're coming with some great stuff too!! <3

I love what you did with Arethana. She looks very realistic, and beautiful too, and quite proud. These feature remain in all the pictures, though I would say that aging, she looks more and more cunning, with a sort of semi evil/or maybe simply tired and desillusioned glow in her eyes. Last picture, her face even lightly shows that the taint is nearby, she makes me think a bit of Hespith.

I really like how you made the tattoo look older, fading it little by little.
Agreed that the war took it's toll on her, she seemed very aged compared to first pic and the "short" amount of time that is the Blight. But the weight of responsibility and stress can do that indeed.

Thank you for sharing, it's really a great job that you did with these morphs.

@Purple Lady

Thanks. My goal was to have her still looking young and beautiful but in a bloody, twisted way... One of the things with blood magic is that she would have wanted to stay young forever, so I focused on changing colors instead.

@Techwench

Well done, I especially like the transition between the 1st and 2nd pic, the war indeed has left its mark, she looks tougher and battle-worn.
