DA:O I was a warrior and nothing less.
The other classes were just too squishy.

but they are looking pretty epic this time around.

People have said the Hawke in the trailers is not only a mage, but a Blood Mage...Is this true?

For my first playthrough, I'll either pick a warrior or a rogue (I think I'll use the upcoming demo to decide which one) and maybe later I'll try a mage.

yep JFarr74 trailer hawke is indeed a blood mage. Im hoping to see a summon demon spell personally.



As for the topic, usually i pretty much play mages. As a mage will be using stone armor and petrfiy for sure (i love earth spells). Blood mage and or force mage will be my specs.

However, i like Reavers and i was happy to hear that my hawke can be one in da2. So im torn between mage OR being a reaver and using bethany, anders and merrill as my magic testers to see what spells i find useful and make my mage playthrough accordingly.

I think sword and shield looks pretty sweet in da2 but i wonder if it will benefit a reaver? I cant wait to play this game!

I'll probably go with 2her warrior first, but honestly im not sure which ill do.

i plan on playing through the demo with each class to help me decide which class to play for the full game.

I want to play as a warrior first time through, mage second time through. Warrior is the one I didn't try on Origins, although I did on Awakening and enjoyed it. Basing my decision on my experience with the other games, not what I've heard about the new combat, and also on what companions I want in my party and having a balanced team. Having the characters I want in my party is more important to me than what class I am playing. The class I least enjoyed playing on the games already out was rogue so I will just let a companion handle that this time around. For specialization I will choose templar unless that specialization makes romance with Anders impossible.

My first will be Rogue Archer, that was my favorite in DAO. And a shaman-style mage, and a warrior with two-hander...I will be playing this for MONTHS!

What would be mage version of "rouge" and "pally"?

I once asked what would be Warlock version of rouge and pally and was told "lolcoil"* and "warlol". I still laugh at those xD
